Elijah's Viewpoint:

I awoke to a tingling sensation down my right side. Things just didn't seem right that evening. Dahx woke-up with the same worried look I had on my face.

"That's probably nothing... right?" I answered my companion as I drifted back to sleep again.

But as I tossed and turned around, the air started to smell dusty. The hut itself started to suffocate me and I raced out to try and find out why. I didn't care if the moon was still shining a bit out, it was almost morning anyway. Wildly awake, my partner began to take notice of the smell as well.

"Something's wrong Dahx. I have to find out what it is. Can you track the scent?"

With a small nod of approval, we rode off into the early-dew forest and was shocked to see that almost all the trees were burned to the ground. Ashes were once was left of this thriving area. But as we moved further to the North, the scent began to burn in my nose. I started to tear-up as my guide was nearly lost in the mist.

"Come on boy, you got this! Hyaa!"

We saw light up-ahead and decided to slow down. For all we know, whatever and whoever caused this forest fire was looking for trouble. I told Dahx to quietly push-on so that we could  take a closer look. From our position, there seemed to be two men screaming at one another.

"You had one job Dekliever, WHY DIDN'T YOU CATCHT THE GIRL!?!"

"BE SILENT Terahulgs !!!"

"Why did Antan even make you general? You can't even out-smart a young girl! YOU DON'T DESERVE IT!!!"

The bigger boned man immediately grabbed the other by the neck and lifted him almost 15 inches off the ground.

"Might I remind you how I even got this position?"

"Hey, hey, hey, easy their- BIG-BOY! Yo-u don't h-ave to sho-w i-t in order to prove your rig-h-ht! HELK!!"

"Oh but it saves me the trouble of ever hearing your annoying complaints... for all I know... I'm doing myself a favor."

He gripped the other man's head tighter than before while the other kept fidgeting and bursted-out in agony saying:

"AGHHH-HHH ECK!! PU-T ME DOW-N DE-KK-LI-V-ER!!!!"

"Hm, as you wish..."

He then launched the other man, whose called Terahulgs, 7 feet away from him, towards the other direction. He literally flew and lifted him as if he weighed nothing.

This was definitely a person that I wouldn't want to mess with. And from that little display, I think it was time to leave. But all of a sudden, Dahx let out a small whimper. It looks like he was also frightened. Dekliever immediately looked toward our direction. Fortunately, by a hair, we zig-zagged our way out of the area and on to another path.

"Phew, that was close! NICE ONE DAHX!"

And with a howl of achievement, we made our way back to the ruins.

So far, whoever laid waste to this land, there was absolutely no one who could stop him. As far as I'm concerned, I actually wanted to get away from all of that. And as I spotted the small stone-hut, I was without a doubt, relieved. However, as soon as we arrived, my companion started to growl.

"Hey, hey , what's wrong?"

As I took a closer inspection, I was alarmed to see a tiny girl lying-down, unconscious, inside the hut. It seemed like she was freezing. But what was rather odd about her wasn't how dirty she looked, but the marks that she had on her arms and and on her back.
