The quiet hum of anticipation hung in the air, the kind that always lingered before a long, grueling mission.

You stood in the center of the dimly lit hotel room, your gaze bouncing between the cluttered table of surveillance equipment, the small window overlooking the dark street below, and Bakugou Katsuki, who was busy barking orders at the team with his usual no-nonsense tone.

"Oi, get that audio feed tested before you leave," he growled, arms crossed as he glared at one of the techs. "And triple-check the cameras. I'm not babysitting equipment all night because you didn't do your job."

You tightened your grip on the strap of your bag as the full weight of the situation sank in.

How...how did it end up like this? I'm going to be spending nights alone in this cramped hotel room...with Bakugou.

Two Days Earlier

Bakugou stood at the head of the meeting table, the tension in the room palpable as he laid out the plan. Behind him, a holographic map displayed the surveillance zone in sharp detail.

"We've got intel that Eclipse might be operating out of a safe house on this block," he began, his voice sharp and commanding. "Our mission is simple: monitor the area, confirm activity, and get the evidence we need to move in."

He gestured to the map, highlighting a dilapidated building on a quiet street. "The target is here. We'll be stationed at this motel across the street, We'll set up surveillance to keep an eye on the place, twenty-four hours straight."

Bakugou turned, his intense gaze sweeping across the room before locking on you. "You'll be working shifts with me," he said flatly, his tone leaving no room for debate.

"Shifts?" you asked, confused.

He gave a sharp nod. "Yeah. You and I will monitor in rotations—one of us handles the feed during the day, the other takes the night. No one else stays at the motel but us. The rest of the team works from HQ and relays anything we miss."

You blinked, taking in the plan. Spending hours—days—rotating shifts in close quarters with Bakugou? This was going to be...a lot.

"Got it?" Bakugou asked, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Sure thing boss" you replied quickly, sitting up straighter.

Back to the Present

Now, standing in the dim hotel room, the weight of the mission hit you all over again. Bakugou leaned against the small desk, eyes locked on the laptop screen as the last tech finished setting up.

That's it," the tech said nervously, packing up his tools. "We'll head out now."

"Good," Bakugou said curtly, his sharp tone leaving no room for argument. "If anything screws up, you're all the ones paying for it. Now get lost."

The techs hurried out, practically tripping over themselves in their haste to leave. The door clicked shut, leaving you and Bakugou alone in the quiet, cramped room.

You smirked, leaning casually against the edge of the table. "Not a moment of peace with you around, huh, Suki~?"

Bakugou's head whipped toward you, his crimson eyes narrowing. "What was that?"

"Oh, nothing," you said, feigning innocence as you busied yourself with your gear. "Just thought you might wanna work on your customer service skills, boss. You know, for the tech guys. They looked like they were about to drop their tools and bolt."
