Chapter 16 - Hero Expo

The morning began with a buzz of excitement in the air. The city was hosting a Hero Expo, an event celebrating heroes and their contributions to society. It was a chance for the public to meet their favorite heroes, learn about hero agencies, and witness demonstrations of various Quirks.

Bakugou however wasn't very fond on these kinds of events. He found them to be distractions from real hero work and preferred to stay focused on more pressing matters. As the head of his agency, he had plenty to deal with and didn't want to get caught up in the fanfare. He insisted that someone else could represent the agency.

You had volunteered to go, seeing it as a great opportunity to connect with the public and other heroes. And so, you found yourself at the Hero Expo, ready to represent Dynamites agency and interact with fans and fellow heroes alike.

The Hero Expo was bustling with energy. Stalls lined the expansive convention center, showcasing the latest hero gadgets, memorabilia, and interactive displays.

You reached the booth set up for Dynamites agency. The large banner above it proudly displayed the agency's name and logo. As you settled in, you were soon joined by a few other heroes from different agencies, all there to represent their teams.

Feeling a rush of excitement, you were caught off guard when someone tapped your shoulder. Turning around, you saw a woman with a warm smile and a clipboard in her hand.

"Hello! You must be Tempest," she said. "I'm Emiko Tanaka, the event organizer. I wanted to personally thank you for being here and representing Dynamite's agency."

You smiled back, extending your hand. "Nice to meet you, Emiko. It's an honor to be here. How's the event shaping up?"

Emiko shook your hand and glanced around the bustling venue. "Everything's going smoothly so far. We've got a great turnout, and everyone seems really excited to meet the heroes. I just wanted to go over the schedule with you briefly. We have a few demonstrations and Q&A sessions lined up. I've also arranged for some interviews with the media."

"That sounds great," you replied, nodding. "I'm ready for whatever you need."

Emiko handed you a detailed itinerary. "Perfect. We have a demonstration slot for Dynamite's agency at noon. You'll be showing off some of your Quirk abilities and then answering a few questions from the audience. After that, there's a panel discussion with heroes from different agencies. It's a great chance to highlight the importance of teamwork and cooperation among heroes."

You scanned the itinerary, noting the times and locations. "Got it. I'll be there. Anything else I should know?"

Emiko smiled again. "Just be yourself and have fun. The public loves to see the heroes as real people, not just symbols. And remember, this event is about celebrating heroes and inspiring the next generation. So, thank you again for being here and making this day special."

"Thank you for organizing such a wonderful event," you said. "I'll do my best to make it memorable."

With that, Emiko nodded and moved on to check in with other heroes and booths. You turned back to your booth, feeling a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for the day ahead. The Hero Expo was an opportunity to connect with the community and showcase the values Dynamite's agency stood for, and you were determined to make a positive impact.

Yet, as you looked around at the buzzing excitement, a knot of worry settled in your stomach. The memory of the press conference loomed in your head. What if today's interviews went the same way?

You took a deep breath, reminding yourself why you were here. This was your chance to show everyone that the agency, and you, were more than capable. You were determined to change their minds and prove that despite any setbacks, you could rise above and make a difference.
