"Ano ba naman yan si Chard, bakit ba kasi hindi pa sumabay sayo? Tom Jones na ko." Vice complained.
They were sitting at the mezzanine part of Starbucks waiting for the rest of the gang.
"Sorry na nga. Ayan mauna na muna yung dessert. Rona, kain lang." Dawn offered.
"Nakakaloka naman. Isa pa tong si Aga, laging late." Vice said as he eyed Lea for any reaction but gets nothing because she is busy typing on her phone.
"Huy Lea!" Vice said.
"Yes my dear?" Lea said as she lowered the phone on her chest to look at Vice.
"Sabi ko pupunta din si Aga, late nga lang."
"Oo alam ko." Lea said as she looks at her phone again.
"Oh eh bat alam mo?" Vice interrogates.
"Kakasabi mo lang di ba, kanina. Wait, I have to take this. Excuse me." Lea stood up from her chair and went to the far corner side of the mezzanine.
Vice eyes squints in suspicion as he gazes at Lea in the corner. Rona leaned to Vice's while Vice clung to Rona's right arm.
Dawn was confused of the two as they murmurs something only the two of them can hear.
"Watch carefully. Pustahan mag- i love you yan." Rona whispers.
"Two weeks. Starbucks coffee." Vice rasped.
"Deal." Rona said as she shook Vice's extended hand.
Dawn looked at her back trying to see where the two are looking.
Vice and Rona were watching Lea like a hawk. Nobody dared to even blink an eye.
As expected, Lea mouthed the words they've been waiting for before she dropped the call and went back to their table.
"Ay tang-ina-" Vice was shocked.
The word shocked was even an understatement on how he truly feels after witnessing it with his own eyes.
"I-told-yah. Oh yes free coffee." Rona exaggerately inhaled the coffee in her hand as she drinks.
Lea saw Vice and Rona still in close proximity because Vice was too stunned to even move an inch.
"Anong meron?" Lea asked as she looks back as well.
"Naku ewan ko ba sa dalawang yan kanina pa nagbubulungan, may inookray na naman ata." Dawn said as she sip on her coffee.
"People watching? At this hour ah?" Lea chuckled as she sat down.
"Ah eh oo hahaha. May babae kasi kanina long legged, ganda ng legs, oo di ba?" Vice pulled Rona's arm.
"Hmm.. Yeah! Ganda. Haba din ng hair." Rona deadpanned.
"Kayong mga lalake bakit kayo ganyan? Una nyong tinitignan sa babae yung katawan. Ni hindi nyo muna tinitignan ung mukha eh, sa katawan agad." Dawn said.
Vice and Rona were relieved that they bought their made up story.
"Hoy sobra ka naman Dawn, ibahin mo ko. Kapag ako tumingin sa boys, mukha muna ha, bago ko ibaba yung tingin ko sa ano- katawan. Kasi nga sabi nila the face is directly proportional to the lower part of his other head." Vice explained.
"Wow coming from you. Concluded mo talaga?" Dawn giggled as she throws a crumpled straw wrapper at Vice.
"Hindi pa. Pero kayong dalawa ang mga nagpatotoo ng kasabihan na iyan. Kayong mga na kemper ng mga gwapo- ay sorry andito pala si Rona!" Vice squeeled.
"Nah, its okay. She knows." Lea deadpanned.
Dawn and Vice looked at her in surprise.
"Why? What do you expect me to keep it a secret to her? Ano sasabihin ko, book me an accommodation, mag oout of town ako ng solo lang. Ano ba."
"E di alam nya ring da-" Vice continues.
"W-well except that! Pwede ba." Lea corrected.
"Alam mo daks si Aga." Vice chuckled.
Rona choked on her coffee not expecting about that information.
"My God Vice ano baaaa? Tigilan mo nga yung PA ko." Lea snapped as she handed Rona a tissue.
"Samid na samid teh? Ano virgin? Alam mo dalasan mo pagsama-sama sa akin ha para madumihan naman ng konti yang utak mo." Vice said.
"Better not Rona, you'll regret it." Lea chuckled.
"Aaaay speaking of, itong paparating mabibilaukan ka sa gwapo." Vice said as he eyed a guy on the side of the road.
The three of them followed where Vice is looking at and saw Aga fast-walked up the stairs of the mezzanine.
"Hi, sorry I am late." Aga said as he sat down across Lea and give her a tight smile which she reciprocated.
"Uh here Vice." Aga said and handed Vice a small square box.
"Oh my ang sweet mo naman may pa yema cake ka sa akin?" Vice giggled.
"Oo, pinabili mo di ba, tinawag mo kanina?" Aga explained.
"Nakakainis naman to! Binuko mo pa talaga. Feel na feel ko na nga eh." Vice tantrums.
"Umm wala pa si Chard?" Aga asked Dawn as she side glanced at Lea feeling awkward that they had other company.
They haven't talked about telling their friends their real score.
"Nandiyan na nagp-park lang." Dawn replied.
"Naku eh ang tagal tagal nyo kaya, ang dami na naming naokray na dumadaang mga tao. Nagtatalo na nga kami kung saan ba unang tinitignan kapag may taong dumaan sa harap mo." Vice narrated as he opened the box of yema cake.
"People watching?" Aga chuckled as she glanced again at Lea.
"Kasi nga nga usually mga lalaki talaga, hindi naman unang nakikita yung mukha ng babae, sa legs yan. Katawan muna." Dawn insists.
"Ikaw Aga.. Anong tinitignan mo?" Lea suddenly butted in too curious if Dawn's observation applies to him too.
"Ikaw. Ikaw. Sayo. Ikaw ang tinitignan ko." Aga said.
Lea pursed her lips together trying not to squeel. She'll give it to Aga, that was indeed very smooth.
Vice threw the fork he is holding and raised his hands in surrender.
"Ay tang-ina talaga. May nanalo na."
