INDIANA

The next few days felt like a dream, as if time had slowed just for us. Dominik and I spent every waking moment by each other's side, the boundaries between us blurring with every shared glance, every touch, and every laugh.

I even grew closer to his family—something that felt natural, though unexpected. Demitra and I would share conversations over cocktails by the pool, while the twins, despite their laziness, had begun to warm up to me.

But the biggest surprise was Dol, Dominik's baby cousin. She had grown so attached to me that she would waddle around the house, her tiny arms outstretched as she called for me to pick her up.

Dominik would watch from a distance, his lips curved into that lazy grin of his, as though he found my interactions with his family both amusing and endearing.

I loved Dol with all my heart. She reminded me of Hailey when she was her age.

Dominik also showed me Romania in a way I never could've imagined. On some days, we drove along winding roads, the landscape rolling out in front of us like a scene from a postcard—endless green hills, charming villages, and towering castles that seemed pulled straight from fairytales.

On other days, he took me on helicopter rides, the view of the sprawling Romanian countryside leaving me breathless. I'd glance at him during those moments, the wind sweeping through his hair, and realize how much he loved this place—his home.

He never called these outings "dates," but we both knew that's exactly what they were. Neither of us wanted to put a label on it yet, but the feelings between us spoke louder than any words could.

OoO

Tonight, we were tangled together in his bed, limbs loosely wrapped around each other as we caught our breath after another late-night sex that had left us both spent.

The room was dimly lit, and the sound of our breathing filled the comfortable silence. I lay on my stomach, my chin propped up in my hand as Dominik rested beside me, his bare chest rising and falling with ease.

"Okay," Dominik said suddenly, his voice a little rough but playful, "Repeat after me."

I turned my head toward him, curious.

"Alright. I'm ready."

"Noapte bună." His accent was soft and smooth as the words rolled off his tongue.

I frowned slightly, focusing.

"Noapte bună," I repeated carefully.

Dominik's lips curved into a proud smile.

"Good. That means 'good night.'"

A small, triumphant grin spread across my face.

"I'm a natural, huh?"

He chuckled, a deep sound that sent warmth spreading through my chest.

"You're learning faster than I expected."

I smirked and teased, "Maybe you're just a good teacher."

Dominik's brow arched, his lazy grin deepening.

"Or maybe you're just eager to impress me."

I rolled my eyes but couldn't fight the smile tugging at my lips.

"Alright, teach me something else."

"Te vreau." His voice dropped slightly, his tone suddenly soft.
