Mikhael's POV

Dr. Sanchez's words still lingered in the air when the office door burst open.  A nurse rushed in, out of breath.

"N-no, wait!" she exclaimed. "We've got a pulse! Her vital signs are stabilizing!"

My eyes widened.

"What?" Dr. Sanchez asked, shocked. "That's impossible. We confirmed—"

The nurse interrupted, "And there's more, Doctor. The ultrasound indicates... Ayara's pregnant."

The room fell silent. Napaatras ako.

"Alive... and pregnant?" I whispered, tears streaming anew.

Dr. Sanchez's expression transformed from sorrow to determination. "We need to act fast. Prep the patient for ICU and get the obstetrics team ready."

My world, once shattered, now hung in balance. I grasped onto hope.

"Save them both" I pleaded, my voice trembled.

Pregnant..?

But..how?

Time skip

I paced anxiously outside the ICU, my mind racing with prayers and pleas for Ayara's recovery. I clutched the small box containing the engagement ring I had hidden away for the perfect moment. Dumating ang sandaling iyon nang mas maaga kaysa sa inaasahan, dala ng desperasyon at bagong pag-asa.

When the nurse rushed out, I seized her arm. "How is she?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"The doctors are working to stabilize her condition" the nurse replied gently. "But we need to focus on the babies now."

"Babies?" Pag-ulit ko, para makasigurado. "Twins?"

The nurse smiled softly. "Yes, twins. We're doing everything we can. Please pray."

Fuck. Twins, again.

I nodded, releasing her arm. "I've been praying nonstop."

Pumasok ako sa loob ng ICU, my eyes fixed on Ayara's fragile form, surrounded by beeping machines and wires. Taking her hand, I whispered, "Ayara, my love, nandito ako. Fight for us, for our future, for our babies. May surprise ako sa'yo pagkagising mo, stay with me."

Ayara's eyelids fluttered, at bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. "Hey baby, can you hear me?" I whispered urgently, gripping on her hand tightening.

Dr. Sanchez watched from the foot of the bed, a warm smile on her face. "Give her time" she said softly. "She's been through a lot."

I nodded, my eyes locked on Ayara's face. Suddenly, her fingers twitched, and a soft moan escaped her lips. "M-Mikhael?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Tears of joy streamed down my face. "Nandito ako, mahal ko" I whispered, my voice trembling. "You're going to be okay. Our babies are going to be okay."

Ayara's eyes slowly focused, and a weak smile spread across her face. "Babies?" she whispered.

I nodded, opening the box to reveal the glittering engagement ring. "Yes. Twins, again" I said, my voice filled with emotion. "And I want to spend the rest of my life making memories with you and our children. Ayara, will you marry me?"

Ayara's eyes widened, at may tumulong luha sa pisngi niya. Tumango siya, her voice barely audible. "Yes...yes, Mikhael."

With trembling hands, I slid the ring onto her finger. "Forever" I whispered, my lips brushing against hers.
