"what are you, in love with me?" wooyoung scoffed.
"yeah."
the room went silent. wooyoung's breath hitched in his throat.
"...what?"

"okay class, find a group of maximum four classmates and report to me when you're finished." the professor smiles as she turns around to face the whiteboard.
the class erupts into quiet chatter as people rush to join their friends in a group. in practically no time, the entire class had finished assembling themselves into groups; not including wooyoung, of course.
"jung wooyoung, you don't have a group?" the professor looks up from her list of students.
"no, ma'am." wooyoung answers with a straight face.
"is there anyone who still has space in their group? let me see..."
"it's okay, i can work by myself." wooyoung cuts in.
"that won't work, this is a group project, wooyoung. it would be too much work for just one person. you have other classes to work on as well."
wooyoung stays quiet, awkwardly looking at his hands. group projects were always the worst, no one ever wanted to be in his group and in the end he'd just be left with a bunch of freeloaders leeching off of his good grades.
"we have space in my group, ma'am." a voice calls out from in front of wooyoung, startling him.
"choi san!" wooyoung can hear someone whisper again him.
"really? that's perfect! wooyoung, you'll be with san's group then." the professor claps her hands together.
"i-" wooyoung starts.
"come sit with us!" san turns around and says from a couple rows in front of wooyoung.
wooyoung stutters and looks around the class, everyone seemed to be confused, including himself.
"aren't you coming?" san asks again.
wooyoung silently stands up and grabs his bag, grumbling quietly as he shuffles over to sit in the same row as san's group.
"now that everyone's sorted, i'll explain the assignment." the professor points to something she wrote on the whiteboard.
"this assignment is all about communication with your group members. we'll be exploring different family dynamics and the effect each one has had on us as children. once you've explored every members dynamics and visited their home you'll write a 5000 word essay and make a power point presentation on your discoveries."
wooyoung bites his lower lip. great, just great.
"you may discuss with your group mates on how you'll approach this project, i'll be here if anyone has any questions." the professor sits down at her desk and takes a long sip of her coffee.
