"what are you, in love with me?" wooyoung scoffed.
"yeah."
the room went silent. wooyoung's breath hitched in his throat.
"...what?"

wooyoung stares at the notification blankly. he looks up at the blonde boy sitting on the other side of the room, his arms crossed as he leant back in his chair with the upmost comfort. san wasn't even looking in his direction. wooyoung looks back down at the notification. he grimaces slightly as he shuts off his phone, putting it off for the future him to deal with.
remembering his promise from earlier, wooyoung curses san out in his mind for somehow always giving him trouble. he clicks accept on the notification. maybe it'll be easier to thank him if he can just message him instead, although it's not as sincere.
wooyoung doesn't follow san back, he doesn't deem it necessary. it's just a quick message, nothing more and nothing less. ideally, he wouldn't be associating with the blonde anymore after this. he'd already embarrassed himself enough and he'd never actually properly talked to the guy.
"time's up, everybody. hand in your quizzes please." professor lee's voice breaks through the silence. "i'll grade them this evening and post the results on the university website."
wooyoung sits patiently, slightly spaced out as the class exits the room swiftly, tossing their papers onto the professor's desk in the process.
"wooyoung, why are you still here?" professor lee walks up to the lonely boy in the back of the room. "did you have a question."
"ah, yes. professor, do you have any extra homework i could work on to get a better understanding of the material?" wooyoung tilts his head slightly as he asks.
"you want more homework? wow, you really do live up to the rumours." professor lee smiles, clearly not meaning it as an insult, nevertheless, wooyoung couldn't help but feel a little ashamed. "sure, i'll email it to you tonight. how does that sound?"
"sounds good, thank you professor lee." wooyoung stands up from his seat, bowing deeply to his professor before exiting the classroom.
wooyoung sighs as he sinks into his small bed. he chews awkwardly on his bottom lip, his tendency to overthink coming into play yet again. he couldn't come up with a single reason in his mind why choi san had wanted to follow him. wooyoung never posted on social media, and they weren't friends so why?
a notification sounds from his laptop sitting on his desk, covered in books and papers from his earlier study sessions. wooyoung drags himself over to his desk chair, flopping into it lazily. he opens his laptop and notices that professor lee had posted the markings from the pop quiz today. wooyoung didn't really feel that it was necessary to check the ranking, knowing that he'd, of course, be on top as usual. nonetheless, he was bored, so he opened up the university website.
wooyoung's stomach dropped to his feet, his heartbeat stopped, his eyes widened in terror. he must be seeing this wrong, right?
wooyoung refreshes the page after taking in a deep breath to calm himself.
