That night, Cecivido stayed in Mu Miao's palace because he had been acting very reluctant to leave, holding onto Mu Miao and refusing to let go, sighing deeply while saying that he would definitely return early tomorrow.

Mu Miao didn’t understand why Cecivido was being so clingy. He appeared to have a decisive personality, yet when it came to this matter, he was both slow and overly affectionate, turning a single day into something that felt like a life-and-death parting.

This made Mu Miao more convinced that Cecivido must be a fragment of Xí Jùnchí, because Xí Jùnchí had always been like this.

If Mu Miao was habitually clingy, Xí Jùnchí was a master at hiding his clinginess, the epitome of being subtly needy.

After Cecivido expressed his reluctance for the nth time, Mu Miao couldn’t stand it anymore and pushed his head away from him, "Alright, then you can sleep here tonight."

Cecivido feigned surprise, "Is that alright, Sariel? Won’t I disturb you?"

In reality, he had already sat down with Mu Miao on the soft bed, ready to pull him into an embrace.

Mu Miao: "…Not at all."

Cecivido continued to maintain a reserved demeanor, politely saying, "Sariel, you're so kind. To make up for disturbing you tonight, tomorrow night you can sleep at my place. I’ll make sure to treat you well."

Mu Miao looked at him strangely. After two worlds, he was no longer the innocent Mu Miao who was easily deceived. Now, he was a battle-hardened, experienced veteran.

Cecivido still wore a courteous smile, and as their eyes met, he lowered his gaze to himself with clear eyes, "Sariel, why are you looking at me like that?"

Mu Miao thought to himself: I suspect you want to sleep with me, but I have no proof.

Mu Miao casually said, "Nothing, I just think you look good."

Cecivido smiled, "Thank you for the compliment."

After some pleasantries, they finally lay down.

At first, Cecivido was very gentlemanly, voluntarily sleeping on the edge of the bed and leaving most of the space for Mu Miao. There was enough distance between them that another adult could fit between them.

Mu Miao watched Cecivido’s back, feeling very confused.

He had just been holding him so tightly, but once they got into bed, he became so reserved and distant?

This fragment of Xí Jùnchí was truly hard to figure out.

Mu Miao was too lazy to try and guess his thoughts and simply turned over to face the wall, closing his eyes to sleep. As the night deepened, he began to feel increasingly hot, as though he was being baked by a furnace. The heat made him uncomfortable, and he started groaning.

Eventually, he woke up from the heat. He turned to look at Cecivido, who was still fast asleep, tightly holding him. He sighed, silently kicked the covers off, and let Cecivido hold him, continuing to sleep.

The nights in Heaven were extremely short, lasting only five or six hours. The chime of the bells rang from the ninth level, and the holy angels fluttered their white wings, weaving through the clouds.

Mu Miao, covered by a light blanket, had his delicate face sunk into a soft pillow. His long, curled eyelashes fluttered gently, and his deep blue eyes slowly opened, scanning the surroundings in confusion.

"Mm..."

Mu Miao stretched, his slim waist hidden beneath loose clothes, rubbing his eyes in a sleepy manner. He turned his head and found that Cecivido was gone. The large palace was now empty, with only Mu Miao inside.
