Always the Charmer

We strode into the canteen for lunch. Evan, his head held high. Me, my eyes hitting the ground. This has been fun. Everyone staring at me all day their eyes saying she has a friend?!

Except for sweet old Lee of course! His eyes were screaming at me, you dare have a friend. He must be as messed up as you, you b*tch!

Always the charmer that one.

We stood at the back of the painfully long line. No, it was more of a rugby hudl than a line. Everyone having a one track mind at the moment, food food food. I almost laughed at how desperate some people were, but laughing would cause attention and that I couldn't handle right now!

It had been a very stressful morning!

After the Lee-Evan blow out this morning Lee decided to stare daggers at me the rest of the lesson. I am seriously paranoid that something's going to happen. That he's going to make something happen!

It doesn't help that throughout the lesson whilst Evan was happily answering all the questions that miss asked, Evan and Charlie were whispering and looking at me at the same time, raising my suspicions further. I dunno, maybe they just wanted to freak me out with the fake hatching of an evil plot to embarrass me....

Or maybe they really did plan one!

Ahhh I'm paranoid!!

"You OK?" Evan asks, eyeing me weirdly.

Realising I probably had a look of utter pain on my face I smiled, or fake smiled and responded quickly,

"Yea I'm great!"

#Evan's POV!!!! Yayayay!!#

"Yea I'm great" she said.

I frowned. No way was she OK. She has been lost in thought for at least 5 minutes and it took all of my will not to give her a massive hug.

I knew that would upset her though. She's a very closed off person.

...and she is for a reason .

I stare at the pretty faced girl that I have taken an oath to. An oath of friendship. I know she can't stand anyone else to leave. She would be reduced to a shell of nothingness.

I sigh quietly.

Maybe this was too much to take onto myself.

I think back to the way she looked as she came off the bus and her puffy red eyes from crying.

I think back to this morning when that asshole Lee tripped her over.

I think back to the look of normalness that was on her lonely face when she resumed her seat with everyone laughing.

Nope this is mine.

I can help her.

Just like Sky.
