She's Here...Sh*t!

"Lilia. Would you care to explain yourself?" Mr Greasy-hair, (or as I liked to call him) questioned.

By now Thea was standing there in shock because of  the expression on my face.

"I-I-I" I croaked, feeling tears brimming. Lee, the idiot that he is, probably thought it was because of  the humiliation, to be honest I don't care about the laughing, I don't care about the staring, I don't care about the judging...

...all I care about is that second long glimpse of that face, like a ghost from a nightmare in which I can never wake up.

"She tripped and her chair fell sir, she was feeling really lightheaded and sick." Thea lied fluently. That's twice that she has stood up for me in one day, in one lesson. What?!

"Oh, well why don't you take her to the medical room then." Greasy-hair suggested.

"Sure sir, thanks" she replied, ushering me out of the door.

"N-need E-e-evan" I stammered.

Thea grabbed my arm then and lead me to the hall way where Evan was. She shoved me behind the door where no-one in the classroom can see me.

Then she knocked on the door...

"Hello Miss, sorry to disrupt your classroom but we have had an um... Disturbance and we need Evan for this lesson.........thanks miss!"

I heard a chair shuffling and Evan laughing at something that someone had joked.

He stepped out of the classroom and Thea closed the door so that he could see me and the smile instantly dropped from his face.

"Lil, are you okay?"

"SHE'S HERE!" I screeched breaking down in a fit of tears.

I felt someone pick me up and what could've been mere minutes or hours later I was set down on a bench which was basically grown into the colossal evergreen hedge behind it.

"What's wrong Lil?" Evan asked kneeling down in front of me "Who's here?"

I sat there quivering and blubbering for many minutes before I managed to pull myself together.

...but if I tell them they will think I'm strange and I will have no friends. I will lose them before I even had a chance to be friends with them for even a year...

"I-I can't " I uttered "I can't tell you"

I looked at the ground expecting them to leave me or shout at me or do something generally that people do.

What they did instead surprised me.

"You don't have to tell us anything" Thea softly spoke,

"Just know that we won't judge you whatever" Ev continued.

I don't know why, but I just burst into more tears, it means more to me that I have two amazing people that care about me that much.

That was something I haven't had in over a decade.

10years, a long time to be lonely.

"No, no... I-I think I'm ready to tell you.." And my decision was made. I took a deep breath and I started telling my nightmare....

"When I started school everything was fine to start with. I-I had two best friends. Lee and Sky."

"Lee?" They both exclaimed at the same time.

"Yes, I was best friends with Lee Hughes. We were close as close can be until Lee left to the other side of the country when we were five. By that time she had been there for a month. We didn't really talk.
I was still really close to Sky. We used to live in a small rural town. When Lee was still there, after school we used to walk up to the small park at the top of town. There was a little wood at the top where we would play hide and seek. We, Sky and me decided one afternoon to go back up to the park. For the first time after Lee had left.
We had stayed up there a little too long and the sun was low in the Sky. I-I remember yelling 'watch out' before that car hit her. I-I remember seeing her body hit the ground and the car door fling open with a woman running out. She took us to hospital. Sky's aunty used to work there so she called her parents. The doctors said she had hit her head on the floor and she broke an arm and 4 ribs.
She was in a coma and had to be operated on because the bones in her arm were splintered severely.
I was there until her parents turned up. I was five. I had no emotion. I didn't really know what was happening only that Sky was hurt.
Her parents came in and went into her room. A long time later they came out. Her mum looked red eyed and her dad stressed. Then her mum turned to me,

'You! You hurt our little girl. Don't you ever, EVER talk to her again. Do you understand?'

I ran outside and all the way home. Both of my best friends gone and I never knew what happened to Sky.

Then she came."

Sorry I haven't updated and this is really boring but it I essential to understand her past for the next part of the book.
