Chapter 21: Double Trouble - Return of the Dark

At Dareth's Dojo, the ninja are training Lloyd who is trying to light a light bulb with his Lightning. He grunts as Jay passes him.

JAY: "Focus, Lloyd. Control the power inside you. When you feel a surge welling up, harness it."

LLOYD: "I understand. I am in control."

He grunts as the bulb begins to flicker and shake. Everyone watches to see if it will actually turn off or will or break like the other previous times.

JAY: "Come on, Lloyd. You can do it."

The ninja watch as Lloyd grunts, but it didn't turn off, instead Lloyd added too much power into it, making the bulb shatter.

LLOYD: "Aargh! Stupid light bulb! You're putting too much pressure on me. Let me have one more try."

KAI: "Ugh, sorry, Lloyd. That was the last light bulb."

Cole walks up to Lloyd, handing him a broom

COLE: "Clean up, Lloyd. We'll continue training tomorrow."

Lloyd uses it to punch a punching bag with the Broom as well. Jay sighs.

JAY: "What am I doing wrong, Sensei Wu? I can't seem to teach him to control his power."

Lloyd's broom hits him on the head.

LLOYD: "You dare to defy the Green Ninja!?"

WU: "Patience, Jay. Sometimes, the greatest opponent we face is ourselves, and that's especially true of Lloyd. Remember where he came from. He's the son of Lord Garmadon. It's going to take time for him to embrace the light."

Y/N: "Not to mention that Lloyd's still young. His powers are still growing before he has the opportunity to master them at that stage. Lloyd is just going to get stronger and stronger as he gets older, and that could potentially be a problem training Lloyd.

The other ninja nodded in agreement at that. Nya enters the room, wearing her sequined dress.

NYA: "Hey, guys."

NINJA: "Hey, Nya!"

She smiles, walking towards the ninja with a letter in her hand. She looks at Y/N, blushing slightly.

NYA: "Hey, Y/N. Uh, wanna come by the autobody shop later?"

Y/N raises an eyebrow at her. He slowly nodded his head to that, but the other ninja were confused.

JAY: "Uh, the autobody shop?"

Nya smiles slightly, turning to Jay to explain when she got the job.

NYA: "Yeah. I got a part-time job. Though I could fix up the Ultra Sonic Raider in my off time." She turned back to Y/N. "Maybe if you come over, I can show you what I've been working on."

Y/N nodded to her question.

Y/N: "I wouldn't be opposed to it happening."

Nya smiles as the redness to her cheeks increased as she was inwardly giddy inside. Jay then looked at the letter in Nya's hand.

JAY: "Uh, what you got there?"

NYA: "Oh, um, this letter came for Lloyd."

She hands it to Wu.
