Chapter 36: Enter the Digiverse

After discovering that Pythor was alive and that the Overlord had taken Lloyd, they immediately returned to Borg Tower in order to regroup. Currently, P.I.X.A.L. plugs a cord to herself while Cyrus works on the Digiverse.

CYRUS: "I think we should put the main switch over here to keep it tucked away a little." He puts a switch with a large red button on the windowsill. "With a little ingenuity and a few more coaxial cables, we may be able to reboot the system with the Techno Blades and erase the Digital Overlord for good."

JAY: "I thought you said we needed the stolen hard drive to do that."

CYRUS: "I did. But that was before I truly understood the entire capabilities of what Zane's powers truly allow us. Neo also helped with his mind still being connected to that of the Digiverse."

KAI: "And what is that?"

CYRUS: "A chance to enter remotely. By the time we figure out where Lloyd is, it'll be too late to stop the Overlord from draining his Golden Power."

Everyone looked over to Y/N, but he frowned and shook his head.

Y/N: "Even if I went Super, I would have to search all of Ninjago for him. He could be airborne or in a secret base on the ground. I wouldn't know."

NYA: "So we have to stop him from escaping the Digiverse before the transfer is complete?"

CYRUS: "Exactly."

SONIA: "But how? Me and Y/N are fast, but we can't do much with just the two of us."

Cyrus smiles mischievously as he wheeled to a large monitor.

CYRUS: "I actually have a solution to that. As Jay mentioned, we can gain access to the Digiverse with Zane's power source and Neo's digital connection to the Overlord. If we combine the two, we can digitize the ninja and the Techno Blades. Using my experimental technology, you could fight him on his own turf inside the Digiverse."

Everyone gained looks of surprise, but Jay gained a look of excitement.

JAY: "What do you mean inside the Digiverse?"

Cole groans, looking at Jay out of the corner of his eye with a glare.

COLE: "Ugh, weren't you listening? He's going to put us into the video game.'

JAY: "I know, heh, I just wanted to hear it again!"

Y/N sighs, shaking his head in annoyance.

Y/N: "You're such a child."

Jay gave Y/N a mock glare.

P.I.X.A.L.: "But Mr. Borg, if anything were to happen to them inside the program—"

CYRUS: "Of course. Every step into the unknown has its dangers."

AMY: "Dangers? What kind of danger does this method of entering the Digiverse provide?"

KAI: "Yeah, I want to know what you're talking about as well."

Cyrus didn't seem bothered by the question. His smile didn't drop, unlike the grim news he was about to deliver the ninja entering the Digiverse.
