Book 2 - Zombieland in Paris

A/N This chapter is... so weird... 

They just couldn't catch a break, apparently. Evidently something happened in the class Ms. Bustier just had because when Marinette's class came for their period, she was... uh... akumatized.

We all know Zombizou is the most slay looking akuma in the show but HERE–

She was still pretty slay (my writing is so lazy I'm sorry my motivation is plummeting again help).

It was unexpected but their homeroom teacher was now a zombie. A kissing zombie. She looked like some messed up horror rag doll combined with an eldritch horror placed into the Walking Dead or some other zombie show... Like, All Of Us are Dead... Or Zombieland... Or... Okay you get it, it's been done a million times but SHE is different because SHE looks like something from the Nightmare before Christmas. And she was absolutely manic, kissing everyone. YUCKY YUCKY GROSS. And Marinette, unfortunately, wasn't in any shape to be Ladybug right now because she just twisted her ankle during the PE class she wasn't even supposed to be a part of.

Apparently, Ms. Bustier was having a mental breakdown over her students not appreciating her enough and that turned her into a zombie. And before Marinette could so much as shout, "akuma!" her classmates were being infected by her poisonous kisses. Marinette ran as fast as she could on that twisted ankle. She assumed that when Zombizou kissed someone they just fell under her control, but nah, it was worse than that. The infected could spread their infection. Zombizou was really just the one who started the chain.

And it wasn't long till most people in a two mile radius were infected.

Okay, last chapter I apologized for how flat and basic my writing was getting and, well, I was right! And I apologized for toning back the gore elements and then like twelve of you screamed at me in protest so HERE I AM AGAIN, writing gore.

In other words, this is a warning. Because all my warnings in the past have failed me and I face the wrath of innocent people who didn't understand that when I put a violence and gore trigger warning in the description of this fic, that meant there would be violence and gore.

Time to more properly set the scene!

Zombizou had been active for... let's just say an hour. Only an hour. Sixty minutes at most. Do you know how small sixty minutes actually is? Well, in summary of those past sixty minutes, Zombizou's infection spread across the entire city. During those sixty minutes, in an attempt to keep it contained, Ladybug locked up the school with all the infected inside of it, only to discover that when the zombies had nothing to infect, they'd go after each other. Besides, the infection had already spread outside but NOW she was having to deal with absolute carnage.

I'm really not doing this chapter justice and it's actually insanely important, my bad. Inspiration will hit me once I get in the flow and you will know when I get in the flow because my writing won't be dry as fuck, sincerely, your author. ANYWAY. Blood. GORE. RAAAH!

In the past sixty minutes, Ladybug saw Chat Noir ONCE. He went away from the school to chase down Zombizou and Ladybug had no idea what happened to him after that. Ladybug, on the other hand, was trying to stop the students from eating each other.

Now, let's rewind a bit because that's a lot to take in.

It started with Juleka. Juleka, a zombie, infected Rose. Rose, a zombie, infected the rest of Marinette's class, except for Marinette who got away just in time. Seeing her classmates spread it like a rampant wildfire, Marinette realized the only thing she could do was contain the disease before it spread outside the school. She had to sacrifice the still surviving students. Locking every door and blocking every window, Ladybug ensured that anyone inside the school would not be getting out. THEN she tried helping the survivors inside, only to discover that the infected had the ability to hunt them down. Any student who hid in the janitor closet, under a desk, locked themselves in the locker rooms, and so on, would be found by these creatures. So from Ms. Bustier, to Juleka, to Rose, to her classmates, to the entire fucking school, now contained thanks to Ladybug.
