A/N You're not allowed to cry.

Restoration flowed freely from her hands. She flew high over the city, allowing it to pour over all the destruction. Everything she touched became better than it had been before. Stronger, cleaner, safer. All was right. The only thing she couldn't undo was damage done to human spirits. The city was mostly evacuated. She couldn't bring them or the dead back. So everything was mostly quiet.

She reached the icon of Paris. The Eiffel tower. It was on its side, so she propped it back up effortlessly. Once it was secure, and balanced on its point to wait. She looked over all the good that she'd done. The destruction done to the city was so miniscule now, it was almost as if it hadn't happened.

"Thank you, Nooroo," she said in her mind.

"Yerrrrr welcome," Nooroo replied.

Ladybug jumped, and nearly fell off the point of the tower. "I forgot you can hear me!" she yelped.

"How else do you think Hawkmoth commanded his villains?" Nooroo said in her mind, "this is a tool I have to help guide new heroes. You don't need any guidance, however. You're a pro."

"The sun has risen," she said to him, "do you think he will find me?"

"Of course he will. You're a beacon of hope."

Ladybug smiled at that. She remained still, and waited. She allowed more restoration to flow from her body, and watched it crawl across the city grid in search of things to repair. The streets were clean. The flooding had stopped. Where was Chat Blanc?

She saw a white clad figure standing in the garden far below her. He was still. Focused up on the tower.

She summoned a lucky charm. In her hands, a scale appeared. It had two sides to it, hanging from a center rotating point. She raised it over her head before chucking it with immense super strength. It flew with insane accuracy down to Chat Blanc. She was surprised he caught it so effortlessly.

She waited, nearly breathless. What was he doing?

His figure moved. A wave of light shot into the sky, and like a blanket, it fell atop her.

She countered it with her own wave. It was black, glistening like obsidian. When the two waves met, they became entangled. Wrapping like cobras around each other, destruction and creation battled for power until both gave up and vanished.

He aimed his next attack at the base of the tower. Its legs teetered and bent, causing the tip to bow forward, towards Chat Noir. Ladybug did not immediately restore this. There was no one around to be hurt by this. It was so quiet, that even as the tower fell, she did not register any sound. She rode the point all the way till it nearly impacted the ground, just before she unleashed a wave of restoration that put the tower to how it formerly was. She now stood in the grass, directly in front of Chat Noir. He had a cataclysmic fist prepared at his side. She she prepared her power in a fist as well.

"I don't want to fight you," she said to him. He did not answer, so she went on. "Do you see it? Mistakes can be mended. But if you choose to keep this up, I will have to stop you."

He laughed. "Wouldn't that be a sight."

Around his feet, flowers bloomed. He startled and stepped away. He gasped when more flowers spawned there too, following him.

"I will make these rot! Stop it!" he demanded.

"That happens," Ladybug says, "flowers grow, and wilt. They eventually dry up and blow away. And then, a year later, they return. Over and over."

He stopped, now allowing the flowers to grow around his feet.

"You can't take back the lives I took," he said.
