Chat Blanc rose like a snake eyeing its prey. His eyes burned blue with icy hatred. The venomous look on his face could drown the rest of the shattered room.
"Son," Hawkmoth grinned with pleasure, "you've finally become useful to me. I am grateful to have you."
Chat Blanc said nothing. Hawkmoth motioned back up to Ladybug, and repeated his demand. Chat Blanc never looked up at her. His gaze was nailed to Hawkmoth. The air in the room was sucked from all their lungs. Anyone who could see him was similarly unable to remove their gaze as well. As if to look away would provide the split second Chat Blanc would need to obliterate them all.
"Son," Hawkmoth repeated, more darkly this time. "You do not have to kill her, if that is why you've hesitated. It is okay. She's unable to fight back right now anyway. You simply have to take her earrings, and I will bring your mother back."
He didn't want his mother back. Ladybug knew that. As soon as Adrien learned the truth of what he was, and who his parents really were, any sentiment of mourning he felt for his mother vanished. Her touch would do nothing for him right now. As far as Adrien was concerned, he had no family. Nothing to anchor him. It made him unstable. Ladybug was horrified by this.
"Adrien!" Hawkmoth barked.
Chat Blanc lunged!
Forward- At Hawkmoth. A white electric plague infected in a sphere around his clawed hand. The inverse of his cataclysm. A poison which craved a body.
He moved like lightning. Hawkmoth hardly noticed Chat Blanc move at all, before very suddenly, that destructive clawed hand was driven all the way through his body like he was some sort of meat meant to be skewered. The white electric haze around Chat Blanc's hand evaporated, revealing his white glove was now stained a dark red.
Blood showered from Hawkmoth's lips in a nasty cough. The specs of red dotted Chat Blanc's white mask like paint on a canvas.
Just as swiftly as he did this, Chat Noir ripped off the moth brooch with his other hand. He cast it aside, tossing it into the tainted water beside the cratering bridge he and Hawkmoth stood upon. Nooroo appeared above the water, looking like a ghost.
"Adrien..." Gabriel said in horror. His voice was quiet and shaking. "What have... you done...?"
Chat Blanc glared up at him with a sickening amount of hatred. His eyes flickered, flashing for a moment as horrible thoughts raced through his mind. Ladybug felt her head growing weak, like she was about to faint. She wanted to scream out, try to make him stop this but she was frozen like a stone, bleeding out.
"Adrien... My son..." Gabriel whimpered, "I only wanted... to make our family whole agai–"
Chat Blanc yanked his bloody hand back through Gabriel's body, stopping when his fist was directly in the center. Gabriel's face contorted.
Finally, Ladybug screamed. She couldn't close her eyes or look away. This was too much! She wanted Gabriel dead but not like this!
His body blew outwards. Ripping apart from the inside out, his blood splattered across the debris piled around the room. His flesh burned in the air, practically disappearing before it made contact with anything.
Chat Blanc was now completely red.
Ladybug began to sob. She could now hear the others around the room crying and screaming as well. Her vision blurred and darkened right then, and finally, she collapsed.
She managed to roll herself over onto her back so that she could see the tainted dark sky. Still atop the peacock, her blood soaked into its feathers. Though the sky was clouded and polluted from the city lights, she swore for a moment she could see the stars.
