43: A Plan With A Spirit

It was later on in the evening. Ana had seen Lady Lesso parading into through halls and pulling a random student into the doom room as they screamed "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" It took the people in the hallway by surprise but they quickly resumed what they were doing. Ana walked into the dining hall and examined the food at the evil table. Fucking gruel again with some pickled concoction. Per usual it look disgusting. Ana looked over to the Ever's table full of food. A full roast dinner and cake. Ana looked to make sure none of the guards were present and made a break for it. The students in the hall went silent as they noticed a Never going towards the Ever's food table. Ana grabbed a Turkey leg and a slice of cake and instead of staying in the hall to eat like the students are required to do she took it to her room.

As she arrived to her room the turkey leg was practically bare as Ana had eaten all. She finished it within minutes and threw it out of the window, into the moat below. It was then she turned her attention to the cake she had taken. This was the best dinner she had had in months and she planned to savour every bite. So she sat at the foot of her bed and got ready to taste what dessert is supposed to taste like. It was then the spirit decided to make an appearance.

"Good evening, Ana," His voice sounded not far from her ear making her jump. She turned to see him stood beside her with a smile on his face. "How are you on this fine evening?"

"Pretty good actually! This cake is fantastic," She said savouring the first bite "Before you ask you can't have any,"

"I wasn't intending on asking," He said before walking he was in front of her. "Tonight is the night. By tomorrow morning we will have the school on it's knees,"

"What on earth are you talking about? We don't even have a plan," Ana said with her mouth full from taking her second bite of the very large cut on cake.

"Yes we do... Or well I do," The spirit replied "I have secured a place in the dungeon where no magic can be used,"

"Did you use runes we learned about them today," Ana said trailing off topic as she wasn't really listening as the explosion of flavor dispersed across her tongue.

"Right... Anyway, we will trap the deans there so no one can over power us. Wolves and fairies will be easy to kill. I can easily hypnotize professors so then we will just have to just convince the students to join us. Which won't be difficult..." It was then the Spirit realized Ana was not listening. She was too busy indulging in the cake she had nicked. "Are you even listening?!"

He took the plate from Ana. She was about to start to complain when the spirit stopped her by talking "This is important," It was then he opened the window and threw both the cake and the plate out of it.

"Are you joking?!" Ana snapped "I haven't had a decent meal in months and you throw it out of the window!"

"You need to listen to me. This will be the change the school needs. Putting them into perfect balance once again. Where good thrives. You know this is more important then a piece of cake and when we win..." He trailed off standing closer to Ana "You can have as much cake you you desire. As you will be my queen,"

"Excuse me?" Ana said slightly taken back by the works my queen. "You haven't said anything about this before,"

"It was going to be a surprise but I figured you would need the motivation," He said grabbing one her hands and putting in in his own. "When we win we can rule where Good will thrive and Evil will be vanquished once and for all. It will return the world to what it's meant to be. You will get to be a princess again. Isn't that what you want?"

Ana was hesitant as she stared into his eyes. She felt woozy as she did. Almost like.. no he couldn't, he wouldn't "Yes nothing more,"

"So back to the plan. I will deal with Professor Dovey, I need you to lure Lady Lesso into the dungeons so we can trap them. Tell her that Dovey has been found in a cell, I will try my best to cast a spell to make her look rough. So it's believable of course. Lesso won't give it a second thought as she is still in love with Clarissa. Hopefully she won't ask too many questions," the spirit trailed off.

"And you will lure Dovey there? Do I need to wait for a signal?" Ana asked so she wouldn't have to just shove the dean in a cell after discovering Dovey wasn't down there.

"No. I will make quick work of it and she won't even know what happened. Trust me I can do it," He said before looking at himself in the mirror beside them "It's the students that will be difficult to convince. Yet when they figure out my plan I know they will be on board,"

"They will," Ana felt herself say but something in her knew that wasn't her truly speaking "You have me on board they won't be any different," Ana reassured him before reinstating her plan "We can't forget about getting revenge for Gregor. Tedros doesn't deserve to live after what he has done," Ana spat thinking of the many ways she could do it and how good she'd feel after Tedros' head was mounted on her wall.

"Yes of course," The spirit said clearly uninterested in fulfilling Ana's plans for revenge. There was a pause. A second where Ana had a chance to think for a second before she started talking again. 

"But, how can I be 'Your' queen if I don't even know your name?" Ana asked unsure if she would finally get to know his name.

"Oh I must have forgotten," He laughed before looking back at Ana "My name is...
