A few days later parents came from near and far to collect their children. It was clear the school would not be able to conclude the school year minus one castle. Put it this way, the evil castle is under repairs.
The few parents whose children died in the battle you could hear wailing. Ana felt guilt overwhelm her but she walked past the parents. The deans told them the headmaster killed them after revealing he, in fact, is not Rafal. Ana's identity was kept hidden from the parents, the only people who knew was her parents, people who witnessed it, the staff of the school and herself.
Ana searched the crowd for her parents. She looked for her mother's signature dress. Her father's crowd glowing in the sunlight. As she continued through the crowd till she finally came across her mother. Standing there anxiously awaiting her daughter's arrival. Her eyes shifting through the crowd before they met Ana's. They smiled at one another passing to look at eachother. It was almost alien to them that it was actually them standing before each other.
Cindy opened her arms as Ana ran to her. It took her a few second to get there but when she did she wrapped her arms around her mother's neck. They embraced each other as Ana finally felt safe. Tears escaped her eyes as she finally got what she had been needing these past few days. A hug from her mother.
"Hello mother,"
"Hello my sweet girl,"
They came out of the hug as Ana searched for her father "where is father?"
"I'm sorry sweetheart. He is still coming to terms with you being a... Never," she regretfully informed her daughter "it is just going to take him alittle longer to adjust that's all,"
Ana nodded trying to be ok with that but in truth she wasn't. Her own father now hated her for something she couldn't control. He never took a liking to her but now he really hated her. It was then Ana noticed Chris sat by herself. Her parents were dead so she'd have to find her own way home rather then my stymp. It snapped Ana back into reality.
"Chris!" Ana yelled trying to be brave. She didn't know how her mum would take the news. As Chris approached Ana introduced them "Mother this is Chris my..." she took a deep breath unsure how her mother would react and it wasn't technically official but they were both pretty much certain they were an item now.
"... girlfriend,"
"Girlfriend?" Cinderella said in an unreadable tone. Ana didn't know what to think now but she didn't panic for long before a smile bloomed on the queens face "how very nice to meet you my dear,"
She held out her arms embracing the girl in a hug "nice to meet you too your highness,"
It took Ana by surprise. She'd never expected her mother to be so accepting but she also never expected Chris to be so... nice? Maybe nice is the wrong word.
"Would she be able to stay round for a few weeks? I'll explain later," Ana whispered to her mother. Her mother thought for a moment before approaching the silver haired girl.
"Would you do me the honour of staying with us for a couple of weeks? I would love to get to know you," Chris' eyes lit up at Cinderella's proposal. Finally somewhere to really sleep rather than under a bridge like a troll.
"That would be very nice," Chris replied before Cinderella's attention was caught but two women. She saw the two side by side with the red heads arm resting around the others waist.
"Clarissa? Leonora?" Cinderella called you. The two deans spun around to see the women calling them. She approached them both with Ana and Chris tagging along just behind them. "Long time no see, huh?"
"It certainly is," Clarissa replied with a big smile on her face. She looked like she could hardly contain her excitement.
"How have you two been?" Cindy asked almost giggling at Clarissa's face.
"Just tell them before your own blow your head off," Lesso smiled looking down at the women beside her.
"We're engaged!" Dovey exclaimed showing off the gold diamond ring Lesso had proposed with. "I will fill you in on all the details later, possibly best those two aren't around," she said whispering the second part to Cinderella.
"I was going to propose with a much more evil ring but Clarissa doesn't wear silver," Lesso smiled looking down at the ring "but this one is just a beautiful,"
"Congratulations! Oh I'm so happy for you two," Cinderella told them as she embraced Dovey. Her fairy godmother after all. She did go to hug Lesso but after the exchange in looks she decided not to. She simply smiled.
"Anyway, it was delightful talking to you but we have much to attend to," Dovey gave Lesso a knowing look "You know how parents are,"
With that the newly engaged couple turned on their heels and escaped the crowd of people. Cinderella turned to the girls and said "let's go home,"
With that they followed Ana to their carriage as the doormen opened the door upon their arrival. They helped Ana into the carriage and she couldn't help but breathe a hint of fresh air as her mother joined her in the carriage. It then wasn't long before Chris joined, less gracefully of course.
"I could get used to this," Chris said as her eyes examined the inside of the carriage. The carriage began to move and as the sun hit its midday peak the three of them rode off into the distance back to the Charming's castle.
