8. OVERDOSE

Nagising ako sa tunog ng doorbell sa apartment ko. I just had a quick nap since napagod ako pagdrive galing sa bahay ng parents ko. By tomorrow I'll be facing death by firing squad a.k.a. first kiss with psychopath poker-faced stranger.

Lahat ng SNS accounts ko, na-overdose na sa issue ng first kiss ko with V. Ibang klase. His statement on TV caused an instant uproar online. Ang dami ding reporters ang tumatawag sa akin to give clarity on the claim.

My agency advised me to just keep quiet kung totoo nga na V will be my first kiss. Hindi din naman daw nila alam na never been kissed pa ko sa totoo lang. I wanted to defend myself sana but I don't want to declare to the whole world na hindi pa ko nahahalikan. Ayaw ko din namang mag-sinungaling at mag-pretend kasi I'm the type of person who can be read easily.

I tried bargaining with our CEO to have that scene revised pero pinagtawanan lang n'ya ako. I'm way too old na daw to say no to it and he's even pushing me to go out and spread my wings by dating someone already.

He did the exact same tactic with me when he chose me to star on Taeyang's 'I Need a Girl' music video. "Dara, you need to grab this special opportunity to touch Taeyang's abs. This is once in a lifetime." Aish! Naiinis pa din ako pag naaalala ko kung paano ako pinaikot ng CEO namin.

Buti nga may girlfriend na si Taeyang ngayon so I'm no longer subjected to his horseplay on a daily basis. Ang tagal n'ya kasi bago naka-move on sa pang-aasar sa akin after we shot that music video. I even had to wear a fake butt padding just to look curvy.

Kapag ako talaga nagka-boyfriend, 'who you' silang lahat sa ganda ko. May araw din sila.

I opened the door and was greeted by CL and Minzy who immediately sandwiched me in a tight embrace.

"Daraaaaaa!!!" As usual, sumisigaw na naman si CL. Ganun kasi s'ya kapag excited.

"We heard about the news, Dara. Social media is exploding right now. It's all they talk about. Can I hug you again to make you feel better?" Tanong naman ni Minzy sa akin, ang pinakabatang member ng 2ne1.

Muli ko s'yang niyakap at nagkunwaring umiiyak. Pero sa totoo lang nakakaiyak naman talaga ang kapalaran ko. I was saving that first kiss pa naman sana for someone special tapos ganito lang? It will be robbed off me by somebody I don't even know? At hindi man lang level ni Won Bin or kahit si Lee Min-Ho. Nakakainis!

"I know how you feel, Dara. And the nerve of that guy to even declare on national television na he'll be your first kiss. Kapal talaga." Inis naman na sabi ni CL.

"But he's actually cute. No offense, Dara. Not bad at all." Hirit ni Minzy.

"Minz, it's not about that. He is cute, sikat din naman at ma-appeal. That's a given. But this is our Dara's first kiss we're talking about. Importante 'yun." Sometimes I really get amazed by everything that CL says. Iba ang wisdom n'ya. No wonder why s'ya ang leader ng 2ne1. She sure knows me so well. "Right, Dara?"

"Exactly. Yun naman talaga ang pinaglalaban ko. But what can I do? It has to be done. Show must go on." Malungkot na sagot ko.

"You should really have given your first kiss to that first love of yours, Dara." Nanghihinayang na biglang sinabi ni CL sa akin.

"He's halfway around the world right now." I said mindlessly.

"Gotcha!" Tawa naman nang tawa si CL sa sinabi ko. Pumapalakpak pa s'ya sa tuwa.

"What?" I was too slow to get what she meant.

"You just gave me another clue kung sino ang first love mo, Dara. You said he's halfway around the world." Sagot ni CL smiling big like a winner.

"Oh my! Dara, never mo talaga nabanggit ang name ng first love mo sa amin. Sino ba kasi s'ya?" Tanong naman ni Minzy.

"We can figure this out, Minz. So far, the facts we know are these: He's under a competing agency, went to Dara's old school, and he has a concert now overseas." Matalinong bulalas ni CL.

"Ang kulit mo naman CL. Wag n'yo na kasi ungkatin. That's all in the past and it was embarrassingly one-sided. And may I just repeat that it was just a harmless crush? Hindi counted as first love 'yun." Medyo nahihiyang pag-amin ko.

"Pero sa dami ng male artists at boy band members sa Korea ngayon, pano natin malalaman kung sino sa kanila?" Minzy asked CL obviously ignoring what I just said.

I really cannot take these two. Malala na ito. Iba pa naman ang mga babaeng ito pag may naisipang gawin. All out. They never back down hanggat di nila nakukuha ang gusto. Papano pa kung andito din si Bommie? Overdose na overdose na ko sa intriga from all media, pati ba naman sa mga kaibigan ko naka-hotseat din ako?

"Guys, please cut this out. Durog na nga ang puso ko tapos ganyan pa kayo." I tried to make them feel guilty.

"Did you try to atleast ask our CEO? Maybe he can do something." Minzy asked, hopeful.

"Asked, begged, cried. Lahat na nagawa ko. Kulang na lang kumain ako ng apoy. But he really won't budge."

"Kelan ba ang shooting for that dreaded scene?" Tanong ni CL.

"Bukas na." Sagot ko.

Bukas na pala. Bakit kasi ganito? Bakit ako pa?
