My Aunt Mai

I stopped in front of a quaint duplex house in Pune, a somewhat-small yet bustling city of this part of India. But not this half-developed street of new homes. Dev's bike took me here and it drove well. Glad he gave it to me. Kova remained inside my bag pack silently as I parked and got off. I pushed open the gate which slightly creaked and passed through an ill-maintained garden towards the main door when suddenly I heard pots and pans crashing loud! Huh?

"What was that, My Lord?" Kova's muffled voice came.

"Stay in there, let me check." I whispered.

The door was slightly ajar anyway and I slowly peeked inside to see the smoke and ash everywhere with a lot of dirt and rocks! The hallway walls were damaged! There was more noise coming from the kitchen side of the home and I went inside quickly after putting down the bag pack near the door. I suddenly see a lady struggling against a strong neck hold of a masked man surrounded by five other people dressed the same way! What the Hell?!

I immediately punched out a huge fire wave, burning the five masked men all at once! My sudden ambush worked and the struggling woman suddenly flipped behind her attacker and kicked him hard! He hit the hallway wall, cracking it a bit more but getting up immediately! He suddenly bent and waved his arms together, forming a dust wave! He was an airbender! I looked back to the ones I burnt and saw two of them getting up, trying to extinguish the residual flames on their body when I suddenly ran back and punched one in the face, knocking him out cold! The other noticed and quickly punched at my face when I deflected it and punched his stomach with my free hand then kneed him in the groin! He yelped and passed out immediately. I quickly turned around to see the dust storm stop and the man unable to bend further due to the woman's close combat range! To keep up with her was a task on its own, how else could he bend?

I heard a groan behind me from a subdued masked man and quickly pulled him up to his knees by grabbing onto his ear tightly. He yelled while grabbing my wrist with both of his hands!

"Who sent you?!" I asked angrily.

"I'm not telling you!" he yelped.

I pulled his hair with my other hand as tight as I could.

"Did her husband send you?!" I asked, sternly with our eyes locked.

"Aah! Yes! Aah! Aah! Yes!" he answered, grabbing the wrist holding his hair as well.

I let go of both and immediately punched his nose, rendering him unconscious immediately and turned around towards the door but stopped.

"I'll wait outside while you clean up." I said without looking back.

I picked up my bag pack with Kova's head peeking out from it and went outside, closing the door after me. There were a few old garden chairs with a table to my right so I took a seat in one of them while hearing a few slashing noises then a tap opens inside. Kova crept out of the bag and looked around us. When the coast was clear, he curled up on another chair next to me, being obscured from the front. A few minutes later, the door opens to reveal the woman coming out in a different shirt, wiping her hands with a towel and setting it aside. Her spirit Ki, a neon blue but sometimes white emitting rabbit, came outside with her and perched on the chair beside Kova while the woman stood in front of me. She bowed slightly and straightened back up. I got up slowly and looked at her up and down. This was my Aunt Mai, my mother's younger sister. She's currently 39 years old and she used to be the Head of the Interrogation unit the Fire Nation once had before the separation.

"Asin, please! I can help you! Be with you!" she said, at the doors of my house.
