As Aadrika finally reached her room after a tiring and exhausting journey, she couldn't help but feel an odd sense of unease.
Nobody had replied to her message informing them about her departure from Kolkata, which made her reluctant to inform them about her arrival.
She convinced herself that they must be busy with something urgent and decided she would find out what it was on her own.
Having caught the earliest flight to Mumbai, she had enough time to attend her afternoon classes, which she had initially planned to skip.
However, the behavior of her friends and Devyaan made her change her decision. There was a persistent feeling that something was wrong with someone, but she brushed aside the negative assumptions, choosing instead to wait for the truth to reveal itself.
Despite being exhausted from the journey, she quickly freshened up and got ready to attend college, ignoring her warden's stern disapproval. As she made her way to the campus, her mind was riddled with worries, even when she tried her best to maintain a calm exterior.
The familiar hustle and bustle of the streets failed to ease her nerves. As she reached the institute, she walked towards her department, her eyes searching for her friends. Just then, she heard a voice near the garden that made her stop in her tracks.
"Huh! That bitch thought she could defeat me and rise above," Aanya sneered. "Now she'll understand what real humiliation feels like."
"But Aanya, what if we get caught? This time, I don't think there'll be a way to rescue ourselves," one of the girls in her group said hesitantly.
"Yes, Aanya," another voice chimed in. "There's still time to fix this and make everything right. It's not fair to play with someone's dignity."
The girl was immediately silenced by Aanya's sharp glare. "And what about my dignity? My humiliation?" She spat, her tone dripping with venom. "Do you think I'll just let that slide? Catching us this time won't be easy, and even if they do, I couldn't care less. The damage is already done."
Aanya's sadistic laugh sent chills down Aadrika's skin. Unbeknownst to them, Aadrika had overheard every word.
Aadrika walked further and finally spotted her friends along with Devyaan’s group near the garden of their psychology classroom.
“She texted me this morning about her departure, but I didn’t reply because I didn’t know what to say,” Sitara admitted, her voice low.
“Yeah, same here,” Eshaal added. “I can’t even imagine how she’ll react once she finds out the truth. Aadrika’s anger is dangerous, she might actually kill them if she could.”
