The new day arrived with the sun rising softly over the horizon, painting the sky in shades of amber and pink. Today felt different, like the start of a new chapter, a step into a life I had only dared to dream about until now.

My friends couldn’t wait to hear all the gossip about his birthday celebration, so we had a video call that stretched well into the night.

Even Parna, who had recently moved to a new PG, demanded her own special version of the story. By the time I went to bed, my excitement and fatigue blended in perfect sync .

Morning came, and though I felt a bit groggy, it only took one notification to brighten my spirits: his "Good morning" text. Somehow, just those words seemed to sweep away all my tiredness. But I couldn't resist teasing him, replying that I was thinking about skipping class today.

The moment the message showed as "read," my phone started ringing. I smiled, realizing there was no way I could miss college today.

Standing in front of my wardrobe, I sifted through my yellow dresses, settling on a beautiful yellow kurti. The perfect pick since I remembered it was his favorite color.

The fabric shimmered faintly in the morning light, and I paired it with delicate accessories, wanting to look my best yet keep it simple.

With renewed energy and a heart full of optimism, I stepped out toward college. On the way, I thought about bringing him a small gift, just like he always did with chocolates for me. But what could I give him?

Chocolates? No, that felt like copying him.
Flowers? No, he had already given me plenty.

I racked my brain, determined to find the perfect gift. After all, today wasn’t just another day.It was the first day of our relationship. How could I possibly meet him empty-handed after the way I had promised him such a heartfelt proposal?

An idea struck me as I walked past a shop. A decorative glass jar caught my eye. Perfect. I already had colorful sticky notes back at my place.

I quickly bought the jar, tore a small piece from one of the notes, scribbled something on it, and tucked it into my pocket. After paying for the jar, I finally headed to college, feeling oddly excited about my little plan.

The morning's first class passed by quickly, but as I stepped out, I spotted him walking toward our department. Before I could process my thoughts, Eshaal and Sitara started hooting.

"What the hell are you guys doing? Everyone's looking at us!" I scolded them, trying to hush their antics.

"Yeah, they might be looking," Eshaal teased, "but not because of us. It's the way your cheeks are turning crimson just at the sight of someone's arrival."

Her words only made me blush harder, and before she could say anything more as Devyaan approached, I slapped her shoulder lightly, trying to make her stop.
