Y/N & MARC SPECTOR POV

Song: Would That I by Hozier

"Keep up old man, thought you said you were good at this?" I shouted up ahead as I stood on the top of a taller building than Marc was on at the moment. I've been making fun of him the whole time we've been out here, and by the looks of it, it's already been half an hour since we left his apartment. The sun was already setting as the light could be seen on the horizon as the dark move away. "Where are we even going?! And quit calling me that!" He used a grappling hook to climb up to the roof of the building I was on. "You'll see, it's not that far. I've been taking you around in circles so that way you can actually appreciate what I'm going to show you." I spoke with my voice changer. Once Marc got at the top I can see the look of annoyance he had, even through the mask I can see how pissed off and tired he was. And I'm sure he could see the obvious smirk that lingered on my lips. "Stop that." "Stop what?" I slightly raised my brow. "You're enjoying this, stop." I slightly chuckle as I heard him speak slightly out of breath. "I can laugh at whatever I want, now come on, you don't hurry you'll miss it." I began to jog off to the next spot on the other side of the roof. "MISS WHAT?!" Marc shouted, as I could hear him still panting as I moved further away. I sighed as I could tell he was getting more irritated as the time went on. I sighed and heard the whooshing of the wind blowing next to me, feeling the presence of Khonshu looming next to me. "He's just going to complain by the time we get there, might as well give him a boost. Not sure how the hell he was going to get up there anyways." I spoke through my mask why still staring back at Marc. "He'll get used to this, sooner or later." I furrowed my brows a bit as his words. 'Get used to this', what does he mean by that? I didn't think so much into it as I know Khonshus words could sometimes be left off as just riddles of nonsense or something he wants you to think constantly until you figure it out. I truly don't plan on trying to think on something that I know won't affect me. I felt the wind through my mask increase, the chilled air felt nice as the warmth of the sun began to disappear in the sky. I saw Marc raise his arms up in confusion as he saw what he was about to do. I quickly ran back and took his side. "What the hell am I doing now?" "Well, I got tired of hearing your complaining so you're getting the easy route." "I could've EASILY kept going." "Yea but I would've EASILY gotten more annoyed at your complaining. So, here we are." I could tell by the his face that he was annoyed and as he was about to speak, he got interrupted. "Will you two stop your bickering and leave already, I'm not your personal maid to do whatever you two idiots want. Now go!" He spoke with irritation laced in his voice, as always.

And just as quick as the wind blew, my feet were off the ground and I was set to where we needed to be. I looked behind me to make sure Marc was following me. His white crescent shaped cape blowing in the wind as he used it to guide him, keeping himself steady as we went through the sky's. I looked ahead and saw that we were coming up on the bridge, the car lights shown brightly as they drove by and were off to do their own things. I angled myself so that the wind could guide me down and I slowly descended from the sky's, making sure to safely land as swiftly and easily as I could. Marc soon came coming down but he wasn't quick enough to descend before hand. He stumbled over his feet and almost fell over the edge but I quickly grabbed a hold of his cape to prevent him from falling. "Geez, it's like you've never done that before." I spoke in an annoyed tone as I pulled him back. "That's because I never have." He spoke as he was fixing his cape. "You should've declined your speed before your target, or else THAT is going to happen again and I won't be here to protect you. Or better yet, I might not save you the second time." "Save ME?! And you're saying all that information as if I know what the hell I'm doing!" He began to slightly shout with attitude. "And you brought me ALL the way out here and for what?! For a bridge?! I've seen this bridge so many times, it's the same old thing-" I grabbed his jaw and made him turn to face the sunset. He stopped as soon as I did, the light of the orange sun covering our faces. The colors of pink, yellow, and orange covering across the sky's as the sun began to set. The shimmer of the water glistening of the same colors shown above us. The sky's near were already dark blues and blacks as the stars began to appear. The crescent moon shown brightly behind us as the sun begins to set. "That's what I wanted to show you..." I spoke softly. I sit down and take it all in, the wind, the colors, the smells, the sounds. All of it, everything I could, I wanted to feel all of it. "If you ever see that I'm missing or gone out, just know this is where I'll be. You're my partner, and whether I like it or not, these are things you have to know." "Do I get to know anything else? You're a complete mystery to me, you know? If I were to do any research on you, there's nothing. You're a complete ghost to the world. And yet you know everything about me. So how is that fair?" Marc sat down next to me, revealing his face as he took off his mask. "It's not. But I like to also keep it that way...for my sake..." "your sake? You make it seem like you're going to get murdered the moment you tell me anything." He chuckled slightly. "It might as well happen." I turned to him as I spoke more cold, my voice changer slightly changing in tune as I spoke more seriously. "I'll tell you more about me in time. As for now, I can't tell you anything except for my name...it's nothing personal, it's just...this has to be on my own terms. And my life isn't that...simple. It's all just so, complicated and twisted and...and just messed up and overall just fucked. You'll know more, trust me...you won't be left in the dark...not completely I guess." Marc hummed at my words. I could see in the corner of my eye that he was gazing off into the sunset, the colors of the sky brightly shown on his face. I can't trust him enough to tell him anything about my past, not even the fact that I even lived in the underworld. Maybe once Vance has been killed and everything goes back to "normal" then I'll tell him. But for now...I just...I want to let time pass.
