ALPHA SAMSON

It didn't take me long to get showered and ready. I must have walked rushed back to her room. Paul had told me he was there and that he had bought some things for the cat, since it needed things. That part court me off guard. What the hell did cats need?

Shaking my thoughts away, my eyes stayed on Alora. She looked stunning.

Savage was close by and staring, not wanting me to blink just in case she vanished, even though that was not the case. There was longing in the way he was staring, something that never came to me until now. He never wanted her to think we would abandon her.

"We won't," he mumbled, but let out a growl. "You fuck up, I'll kill you, dumb nuts."

Rolling my eyes at his words, I stared until Alora looked away and looked down into her lap. I glanced to see what she was looking at, only to stare into green eyes again—the fucking cat.

Savage chuckled. "You pussy, you're scared of the cat."

"No, I'm not."

It was true; I wasn't scared of the damn thing, but there was something about it that freaked me out. The information I found out about the breed still lived rent free in my head, wondering how the hell it got here was one thing, but then we still didn't know much about our mate.

"Start talking to her, or I'll take over and introduce myself."

"Sorry," I blurted, looking back at Alora. "I did not mean to stare. It has been a long day, and all I wanted to do was be with you. Is that okay?"

Alora looked at me, her eyes slightly bigger than normal, but she cleared her throat and looked around, but came back to me with a smile. Her cheeks were slightly red. "Sure. Paul and I were watching a film. You can watch it with me since Paul and Ava have left."

I smiled and walked to the other side of the bed. There was no way I was sitting on the other side of the room; I needed to be next to her. Moving to the bed, I could feel her eyes on me the entire time, till I sat next to her. "Hope you don't mind; Savage and I want to be close to you."

"Savage?" she asked while I got comfortable. Looking over at her, her eyes were on me, but it didn't go unnoticed. She had to crank her head up more to look at me.

"Savage is my wolf," I said with a smile. When she said his name, I thought I felt a purr ripple from him, which would be stupid. Wolves never do such a thing.

Alora stared at me, while her lips pulled up at the corners till she smiled. "It is nice to know he had a name. Was there a reason for Savage?"

Before I could say anything, Savage beat me to it. "Tell her it's a wolf thing. I don't think she wouldn't enjoy knowing it's because of the way I play with my food or kill people."

I let out a laugh, which startled her.

Shaking my head, I calmed myself down and placed my hand over hers. Her hands, though small, were intended for ours. "Sorry, Savage said something funny."

"No, I didn't," he muttered, but seemed to be infatuated with Alora when she spoke. "Okay. You just made me jump. What did he say, which was so funny?"

"Now you did it," he muttered.

Ignoring him, I changed the question and looked at the screen of the tv. "What are we watching? Die hard?"

Feeling Alora's eyes, I stared ahead until I knew she wasn't looking at me. I pretended to watch the film. This was one of my favourite ones, especially over Christmas.
