The sudden silence in the white chamber was broken by the trembling cry of the newborn child. The Dai, dressed in white cotton clothes held the baby, covered in blood carefully in her Arms.

Wiping the maternal blood off the tender skin, she asked the Dasi to let the Guard know of the arrival of the New offspring.

"Shree Krishna and Devi Rukmini Have been blessed with A Prince!!" The Guard announced from the large Balcony of the illustrious palace of Dwaraka, commencing the drum beats and the conch shells as the streets erupted in jubilation and cheers, hailing their new heir, RukminiNandan, The Scion of Yaduvamsha.

Rohini, with her motherly tenderness caressed Rukmini, who awoke at the sounds of celebration. She looked around the chamber with tired eyes and smiled with content and newfound happiness as she spotted the tiny little bundle in Dai's arms.

Devaki, reassuringly put her hands on Rukmini's shoulders, "It's your son!"

Rukmini teared up in ecstasy as Dai placed her little child into her trembling arms. He was everything she ever wanted and she couldn't ask for anything more, now that she was holding in her arms her entire life. She gently took hold of the infant's hand as she placed a delicate kiss on her son's curly black hair. The world seems to fade away for Rukmini, who relished the maternal bliss, for once upon a time, this mother, under unfortunate circumstances had to desperately wail for her son, her Kamadeva, who was turned into ashes under the anger of Mahadeva.

The doors of the chamber was pushed open dramatically, as Rukminisha came forward. His hair and jewelleries were dishevelled.

"Rukmini..." Krishna rushed to his wife's side, who was looking up at him with immense joy.

Rukmini affectionately extended the child towards Krishna, as he took him from her, seating himself on the mattress. The newborn was a direct replica of him. His curly hair and dark complexion echoes that of his father, and so did the illuminating radiance eminating from the mere presence.

Krishna held his son, his heir close as he cradled him in arms protectively. A gentle fatherly smile surfaced on the charming demeanor of his as Rukmini watched the sight peacefully.

"Rukmini, You should rest now Putri! You must be tired." Stated Devaki, concerned about her daughter in law. Krishna nodded in agreement as he looked at the dishevelled hair and figure of his wife. He slowly caressed her cheeks with a mix of affection and gratitude.

"I am fine Mata... What more could I even ask for.." Rukmini placed her hands above her husband's, which rested on her cheeks, with a delicate smile.

"No, you should be resting now. I shall take care of the child. You must be tired." Krishna handed their child to Rohini as he helped Rukmini lay down, placing a soft kiss on her forehead as the maids rushed to prepare for Rukmini to freshen up.

As Rukmini dozed off to sleep, Krishna sat by her, holding her hands in his, with a tender smile. His eyes occasionally darted towards the newborn who was also having a peaceful sleep. Krishna leaned on to the headboard as he pondered upon the fact that he and his love has stepped into the new chapter of their life.

Alas, his features hardened and his hold on her hands tightened as he awaited the fate looming in their near future.
