While pounding their fists against the walls, Jake and Rose screamed and yelled for help. They had to break free. The Dublekas had to be defeated. If nothing was done soon, the human race would become extinction. Then Jake and Rose would be killed too.

"Jake, it's no use," Rose groaned, sliding down the cold wall. She lightly landed onto the ground and sighed. "Obviously, the Dublekas are the only ones in this entire hideout. And banging on the walls will only annoy them to the point where they could hurt us worse than the time before." Jake sighed and stopped slamming his hands onto the walls. He sat down with Rose, burying his head into his hands.

"I just want to get out of here," Jake groaned, his words mumbled into his hands. Rose sighed and rubbed his back, trying to make him feel better.

"This adventure... is just like a maze," Rose whispered. "If we take a wrong turn, we're back to square one."

"And it seems like everywhere we go is a wrong turn," Jake added. "We seem to never get far in this mission, or 'maze', because we're always taking the wrong way." The two of them stayed silent for a minute. "Do... do you think it's the end of our days?" Rose looked over at Jake, confused. "I think it's the end of our days." Rose took a silent deep breath and nodded.

"We haven't even entered the 'maze' yet," Rose realized. "We've just been... walking to the entrance of the maze. We haven't really done much in this mission yet, besides getting beaten and going to Florida. We need to actually do something."

"Well... when should we 'enter the maze' or do something?" Jake questioned. Rose stayed quiet. Then she stood up, her hands balled into fists.

"Now," Rose growled. She started slamming on the walls of the room. She continued to scream and cry, hoping to get the Dublekas' attention. Her plan was to get the Dublekas to come to their room, and then they'd attack them and escape. Jake quickly caught on to Rose's plan and joined her. The two of them continued screaming and banging on the walls to the point that their hands and throat were burning intensely. Soon enough, the door opened.

"ENOUGH!" Dubleka C screamed. He slammed Jake and Rose to the ground, bringing out a whip. Their already-beaten bodies were burned by the whip lashing onto them. Each time the whip was whacked onto a part of their body, they'd wince and flinch, closing their eyes painfully. Red, bleeding cuts and marks were stained all over their bodies.

After their bodies were left in awful cuts and marks, Dubleka C threatened to do it again if they tried something like that again. Then he left the room and slammed the door, leaving a sorrowful echo in the room for ten seconds. Then there was silence... complete silence.

"I think we took a wrong turn," Jake managed to cough out of his throat. Rose faintly nodded along.

"Let's turn around and start at the entrance again," Rose groaned. She pulled herself up and banged her hands on the wall again. "This time, we'll actually attack him before he can do anything to us." Jake nodded, agreeing to the idea. He also pulled himself off of the ground and started banging against the walls again.

They did this pattern another five times. They'd "enter the maze" by banging on the walls and screaming, try to attack Dubleka C when he walked in, wrestle him, and get whipped until they were limp on the ground. Then they'd turn around and "enter the maze" again.

"Rose, stop," Jake spat, feeling nausea in his stomach. He was lying on the ground, too weak to stand. Rose, however, had fought through the pain and was standing, ready to try her plan again. "It's not going to get us anywhere. It's just going to kill us. Unless you're planning to get us killed, stop." Rose sighed and fell to the ground, too weak to try and save herself from slamming onto the tile floor.

Rose started to close her eyes. She then heard Jake beg, "No, no, no. Don't go out on me now, Rose. You're stronger than the Dublekas, their weapons, and the scars they will leave. Please, wake up. Don't go."

"Let me sleep, Jake," Rose moaned. "I'm not going to die, moron." Jake sighed a laugh and nodded, assuring himself that she was fine. He laid down next to her and closed his eyes too, the heat of Rose's body rubbing onto his ice-cold body.

Jake's ice-cold body helped Rose cool down from the extreme heat she had as she fell asleep. Then she and Jake heard a door open. Not caring if they were abused, drugged, or even killed, they stayed limp as the footsteps of the Dublekas filled their ears. Then they were lifted and taken out of the room. After a long time, they both were placed on what seemed like an table. Then they felt a needle go into their arm. Everything became fuzzy at that moment and their minds filled with darkness.
