Their guns were pointed at the leader Dubleka as Jake and Rose shakily stood up. Their fingers were on the triggers, ready to shoot at any moment. The leader Dubleka slightly chuckled, putting his hands up in front of him.

"Now hold on," the leader Dubleka halted. "Would you want some questions answered first?" Rose and Jake looked at each other. They both raised their eyebrows at each other, wondering what questions he was talking about. Not loosening their grips on the pistols, they looked back at the leader Dubleka and nodded. "Simply, all I ask is for you to put the guns down."

"Answers first," Rose barked. Jake nodded in agreement.

"Fine, whatever you say," the leader Dubleka sighed. "What would you like to know? Do you want to know... about the Dublekas' origin?" Jake and Rose nodded, always wondering about that.

"It goes like this," the leader Dubleka sighed. "I was the leader of a planet filled with Dublekas a few years ago. There were five other Dublekas who survived, along with me, from a black hole engulfing the planet. We wanted a new home for us. Earth was perfect... except for one thing."

"I know all of this... Chris told me about this," Jake thought. "But I never really understood why they wanted to kill the human race."

"Humans are such... unique... characters," the leader Dubleka sighed. "They're very moody, very strong, and very cynical." He paused. "I don't like humans though. They change their minds quickly. Dublekas stick with something the first time they decide it. Humans eat such weird things called... food. Dublekas like to eat only dirt." Rose gagged. "That's another thing too. Humans are so judgmental. They hate everything you do. No matter what you do, you can't please them. They're never satisfied with life. It's absolutely awful to see humans not appreciate what they have. Dublekas, however, are always pleased with whatever they have. That's why we didn't want any humans on our new planet. That's why we wanted to kill them all. Dublekas want a world of peace, and having humans on it will not help me achieve my goal of a peaceful world to live on."

"Yeah, ok," Jake sighed, rolling his eyes. "Well guess what? No more humans are dying. There's only one more Dubleka, and that's you. After we finish you, no more Dublekas will try and destroy the human race ever again."

"Whatever," the leader Dubleka said with a smirk. Rose and Jake stared at each other, confused about the leader Dubleka's behavior. He acted as if he had accepted that he lost. He acted like he was ready to lose and die. They were worried he had a trick up his sleeve.

"We have one more question," Rose blurted. "The second time Jake and I were kidnapped, we were half-asleep and you took us out of our hostage room. You drugged us... and did something to us. What did you do?"

"Oh... that," the leader Dubleka laughed. "Just some experiments."

"Tell us!" Jake commanded, moving closer to him with his gun. The leader Dubleka paused.

"One thing Dublekas have always wanted was some way to expand the average life span of a human," the leader Dubleka started. "Our original plan was to spare some humans, brainwash them, and use some experiment somehow so that they lived forever. That way, I'd get all the attention I craved. So... when you two were sleeping, we added multiple elements to your DNA and organs. That way, you'll live forever. So I guess I could say... we made you transhuman. You both will now live forever. You'll physically age only slightly. Besides that, nothing will change about you forever." Jake and Rose looked at each other, not expecting this at all.

"I've heard enough," Jake growled. He and Rose both shot the leader Dubleka. The leader Dubleka fell to the ground after being shot. Before dying, the leader Dubleka had one last thought.

"Joke's on them... they don't know what my backup plan is," the leader Dubleka thought. Then his mind went blank, and his body became lifeless.

"Jake... it's over," Rose gasped. She ran over to him and hugged him. He hugged her back, both blessed that the adventure turned out to be positive in the end. The world was out of the dark. They won. The Dublekas lost. The world was saved. There were no more Dublekas in the world.

"Let's make sure there weren't any that survived," Jake whispered. He and Rose went to the storage room and found a bomb. They activated it, making sure the mansion would extirpate. 30 seconds remained until the mansion would explode. Jake and Rose ran out of the Dublekas' hideout. Watching from the distance, the mansion exploded into flames as clouds of smoke began to fill the air.

"Let's get out of here," Jake whispered as fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and more were heard in the distance. Rose nodded as they ran away from the scene. That was the last time they'd ever have to see that mansion ever again.
