A month passed until Jake and Rose recovered from their wounds and injuries. After that month, they were released from the hospital in Louisiana. Without hesitating, they rented a car again and drove down to Florida. This time, they didn't wait to clear their heads before facing the leader Dubleka.

More destruction was being done by the leader Dubleka. In the last month that they were recovering, they heard about multiple anonymous bombings and shootings. There were no suspects, and nobody had a clue of where it was coming from or who was doing it. Except Jake and Rose. They knew it was the leader Dubleka. They knew that they couldn't wait any longer after recovering from their injuries. They had to face him either now or never.

When they got their new car, they drove down to Florida as quickly as possible. They were silent for most of the ride, not wanting to talk at the moment. Eventually, Jake broke the silence between them.

"Hey... ever heard of symbolism?" Jake asked. Rose nodded. Jake stopped at a red light. "Well... I'm kind of thinking of... balancing a razorblade as symbolism for our adventure." Rose looked over at Jake, confused.

"Why... a razorblade?" Rose asked. The stoplight turned green, so Jake started driving again.

"A razorblade is sharp and dangerous," Jake answered. "Everything about a razorblade is sharp. It has many sharp edges, and nothing about it is smooth. I kind of see that as how this adventure is. There's nothing smooth about this adventure. There are many sharp edges and bumps in this adventure." Rose nodded, understanding a little more.

"What does that have to do with... balancing it?" Rose questioned.

"Well, a razor is used for shaving, right?" Jake asked. Rose nodded slowly. "There are two results with using a razor. Either you successfully use it or you don't. If you successfully use it, you are shaved, clean, and happy. If you don't successfully use it... well, you get cut. You're injured. And if it gets bad enough... well... you can bleed out." Rose raised her eyebrows.

"So what you're saying is... we're balancing this 'razorblade', that is also known as our adventure, by 'using the blade' successfully and unsuccessfully," Rose clarified.

"Exactly!" Jake chuckled. "There have been times when we've been successful, like escaping from the Dublekas. There have also been times when we've been non-successful, like getting kidnapped by the Dublekas... twice... and getting bombed by them."

"But we're going to use this 'razor' one last time... against the leader Dubleka," Rose stated. "And we will use it successfully." Jake looked over at Rose and smiled.

"I like that attitude," Jake commented. "That's exactly what we're going to do." Rose sighed. She looked out the window with a little voice in her head telling her that the final fight against the leader Dubleka wouldn't turn out very well.

"We won't know until we actually do it though," Jake added. "Come on. We're at the hotel. Let's sleep here for the night, make a plan, and finish the adventure... positively." Rose looked back at Jake, who flashed a smile at her. Rose gave a half-smile back. They both stepped into the hotel that they were in the night before their first attempt against the Dublekas... a night neither one of them wanted to remember.
