Three years passed since Jake and Rose saved the world from the Dublekas. They had gotten married. Because of the fact that they didn't have any family or most of their friends around, the only people at their wedding were them, the priest, and Jake's boss. After their marriage, they went to a fancy restaurant for their honeymoon.

"I'm sorry that it's not much, and we're not really doing anything, but... I hope you like dinner," Jake sighed. Rose smiled at him.

"I didn't care what we had planned for our honeymoon, as long as I was with you," Rose giggled. Jake smiled back. Then he gasped and smirked.

"I did get you something though," Jake remembered. He took out an envelope and handed it to Rose. She laughed and looked at him, confused about what he would get her. When she opened it, she gasped.

"Yeah, I did some research and found it," Jake sighed with a smile.

"Oh my gosh... my birth certificate..." Rose gasped. "How did you... you know what, I'm not going to ask." Jake laughed. "So... what is my real name? It's... Rose Fredrickson." Jake smiled and nodded. "Wow... you were right all along."

"What can I say?" Jake asked. "You're pretty like a rose. That's how I knew it was your name." Rose smiled through tears and hugged Jake.

"Thank you," Rose sighed. "All I want to know now is why my parents abandoned me when I was first born." Jake smiled again.

"There was an old news story," Jake whispered, "that I found online. A married couple, named Belinda and Tony Fredrickson, were homeless parents. They had a newborn baby girl with them. They left the baby girl at the doorsteps of an orphanage, with a note explaining their situation to the owners of the orphanage. They explained that they couldn't take care of her and had to leave her there. That kid... was you, Rose." Rose sighed, shocked beyond extreme.

"My parents gave me away to give me a better life," Rose sighed. "Wow... they really were generous people if they gave up their own kid to give her a good life."

"I think they did the right thing," Jake sighed. "Not only would you had suffered living homeless with your parents, but we probably would had never met. So... in a way... I'm kind of happy that happened." Rose nodded and smiled. For the first time in her life, she wasn't mad or upset when she thought about the day she was abandoned.

"Jake... thank you," Rose sighed. "You helped me. Not only with giving me clarification on my past, but you helped me see who I really am and how strong I truly am through that adventure with the Dublekas."

"I think we both know who we really need to thank for that," Jake sighed. "We should thank the Dublekas for existing to give us the adventure. If they never existed, we probably would had never met or saw how strong we really are." Rose nodded, mentally thanking the Dublekas.

"It felt like only yesterday... that I was standing outside of the collapsed building with you, and you decided to name me Rose because of how pretty like one I was," Rose remembered. She blushed, thinking back to that day.

"It felt like only yesterday we found out we were transhuman and we'd live forever," Jake sighed. "Just think about that. Usually, people die in their 80's or 90's. We're not going to die. That's just... crazy. We're going to live for... infinity."

"That's what you meant by 'we'll have our infinity together,'" Rose sighed. Jake nodded. "Just so you know, I'll spend the rest of my infinity with you. I won't let anything get in the way of that." Jake smiled.

"I love you Rose," Jake whispered.

"I love you too Jake," Rose whispered back.

When Rose and Jake returned to their apartment, they sat on their couch in exhaustion. Rose rested her head on Jake's shoulders as they watched late-night news. Rose was supposed to be working that news show, but she had taken that day off for their wedding and honeymoon.

"Every night, when I'm at work, I watch you on the news," Jake whispered. "And whenever co-workers catch me staring, I tell them 'that is my wife right there and I'm the proudest husband in the world. I love her with all my heart and I wouldn't trade her for anything.'" Rose smiled and kissed Jake on the cheek.

"You're too sweet," Rose whispered. She thought for a minute. "If you're that sweet, would you be willing to do something...?"

"Anything, what is it?" Jake asked. Rose bit her bottom lip.

"Jake... I want kids," Rose admitted. She felt Jake tense up. "I knew it. I knew I shouldn't had said anything. You don't want kids, don't you?"

"No... I want kids too," Jake answered. Rose's hopes lifted. "But... I don't think... I can." Rose's hopes shattered.

"What..." Rose started.

"I just... don't think... I can," Jake sighed in sadness. Rose sat up.

"Can... can we at least try?" Rose asked. Jake sighed, looked over at Rose, and smiled.

"Sure," Jake answered. "We can try."

Two weeks after Jake and Rose's talk about wanting kids, life continued as normal. They seemed to have forgotten about what had happened. They didn't talk about it, think about it, or worry about it. They just went on happily with life.

When Jake came from from his evening shift at the hospital, he was ready for start dinner for Rose, who was supposed to be home in an hour. When he walked through the door, he saw Rose sitting on the couch. From Jake's angle, she was staring at the ground. He became instantly confused and worried. She was supposed to be at work... so something obviously happened.

"Rose?" Jake gasped. Rose turned around. Her face was covered in tears. "What's... what's going on? Are you alright?"

"It happened Jake, it happened," Rose said, crying. She walked over to him and hugged him.

"What Rose?" Jake asked, panicked. "What happened?"

"I'm... pregnant," Rose whispered. In her hand was a positive pregnancy test. Jake was beyond shocked... and blessed. Her tears were tears of happiness. Jake hugged her tightly as he cried tears of happiness too.

"Thank goodness," Jake whispered. "We're going to have a baby. I'm so excited."

"Me too," Rose whispered.
