CHAPTER SEVEN.

—IZETA WAS LAYING on the couch, with Zemo half dying next to her while Sam was typing on his computer, sending a message to Sharon.
"Were you ever offered?" Zemo asked Sam, holding a glass of whiskey as a wet towel was sitting neatly on his eyes.
"What?" Sam asked, turning toward the Sokovian male, "The serum." Zemo answered, and the Falcon chuckled, "No."
"If you had been, hypothetically, that is, would you have taken it?" Zemo asked again, taking a sip of his whiskey as Izeta took a deep breath out of annoyance.
"No." Sam answered again, "No hesitation. That's impressive." Zemo hummed, taking the towel off his face, he shifted his gaze to the girl sitting in front of him, "Don't even ask me that."
Zemo pressed his lips together before turning to Sam again, "Sam, you can't hold out hope for Karli. No matter what you saw in her, she's gone. And we cannot allow that she and her acolytes become yet another faction of gods amongst real people. Super soldiers cannot be allowed to exist."
"Isn't that how gods talk?" Sam cut him off, making Izeta snicker as she pointed at her boyfriend in agreement, "That's what I was thinking."
"And if that's how you feel, what about Bucky? Blood isn't always the solution." Sam told Zemo, and with that statement, Izeta retreated her finger, because sometimes, most of the time, it was.
"Something's not right about Walker." Bucky announced, walking in as he shrugged off his jacket before throwing it to Izeta.
The Sokovian sent him a look full of disgust before throwing it away, somewhere behind her. "You don't say." Snickered Sam, not hiding his amusement.
