Your eyes threatened to close shut. Your eyelids felt as heavy as the world around you

"Excuse me madam, would you like some soda?"

You looked up at the beautiful hostess standing next to your seats and sweetly shook your head.

"No thanks, I'm full"

Kaiser scoffed.

That little bitch, cant he just stay out of things that dont involve him?

"What was that for you annoying asshat?"

"Your stomach rumbled like 7.3 seconds  ago"

"What you got a 101 on 100 in math or something?"

"Never actually went to school."

"So if football fails-"

"Shut it. I'll take anything but that.", he said, a condescending look on his face. He clearly didnt approve of the current topic at hand. You gulped in confusion.

"I didn't mean it as a bad thing.. I was just implying that it must be hard to balance football and education."

"There is no life for me outside football. So dont talk about one."

"Geez.. I'll stop."

Your stomach rumbled again. Kaiser got over his anger rather quickly, a new trait he seemed to develop just for you. Just because of you. Just by your presence. He didnt even need to try. It just worked. It was just an effect you had. He smirked at the sound of your stomach.

"Either you're too flabbergasted to agree you're hungry because of the wonderful personal slaves you get on a private jetz or you're about to drop something colossal."

You gave him a look that told him to shut the fuck up. He chuckled at that and looked out the window again.

"..I could use a sandwich.. I guess", you said while rubbing the back of your neck sheepishly.

"Aha my girl got over her ego".

You scoffed at that. Look who's talking.

"Look whos talking", you spat.

About ego that too.

"Darling you're on a private jet, why the fuck are you o ly asking for a sandwich of all things? Theres probably like a whole ass kitchen on here, you do realise that right? Our future kids are gonna love it."

"Well that fucking escalated. I dont even want kids."

You were sitting in the taxi, nervously fidgeting with the hem of your cardigan, not knowing what to say to addy. The tension of the main problem settled all its weight on your shoulders again. Kaiser seemed unborthered, as if he was accustomed to you acting like a seven year old with ADHD. He clearly wasnt taking the situation seriously. Addy's house wasnt that far away from the airport, but even those twenty minutes, felt like twenty whole hours.

You finally made it. You stood still outside the door, observing the house. So familiar, yet so different. It was rather hard to believe that the same house that thought of you as lame of their own was in shambles. Hard to accept.
