Timeskip: u-20 Japan vs Blue lock XI

You roamed around the outside of blue lock, amongst the crowd. You weren't able to believe that sae itoshi was somehow convinced to play for the Japanese team. You'd have better luck getting a giraffe to fly in outer space. You were really happy for Bachira and isagi, but regrettably looked forward to the itoshi faceoff that was bound to happen on the field.

You went to get an itoshi sae towel, because of the heavy simp you were, and managed to steal the last one. The little boy behind you started wailing when you bought the last towel. You walked away, smirking at a little kid's misery with no shame in the world. You saw the huge poster hung at the entrance of blue lock, with sae in the center, holding his hip. He was supposed to be holding yours, but oh well. That was just his go to pose. Every single poster, he would be holding his hip (instead of yours). But it's ok. You could atleast have kaiser doing that to you one day.

An alarm went off on your phone, reminding you that you needed to be present in the locker room for the blue lock XI team. You made your way towards the locker room, and entered it. You hung the sae itoshi towel around your neck, expecting to be heavily criticized, but who were you to be criticized in front of a room with eleven teenage boys who were half naked. You silently speedwalked to anri and stood behind her, hiding yourself a little. Why did half naked teenage boys give you social anxiety? Nobody knows. Anri turned around and saw you.

"Y/n you're here!! Great, you're on time. Oh wow I didn't know you were a fan of sae itoshi. I am too!", she exclaimed

"Sae itoshi was like my crush up until i was sixteen. I'm really excited for this match. To me, blue lock's win does matter, but personally I'm a lot more interested in how the itoshi brothers will act on field around the presence of each other. Like, will any of their confidences go down? How will it affect their gameplay?"

"I understand. I'm looking forward to to their performances too. I'm sure itoshi sae will never fail to impress. Same could be said about rin here. He probably considers this match his lifeline right now."

"Well to be fair it kind of is all of their lifelines no? If they lose them blue lock will get shut down and they'll lose a really good opportunity to becoming the best."

"Mm this match is definitely significant. Although I can't help but wonder who the best player will be amongst the eleven. Rin itoshi is definitely going to be one of the stars so he isn't counted. I'm really keeping a keen eye on nagi, Bachira and isagi though. They've caught my interest as well as ego's. Isagi isn't a quick performer. He still takes a lot of time to execute a move, but once he knows what to do in a systematic way, he's a really tough opponent to beat"

Anri was right. One thing you'd always noticed about idagi was his speed. It really needed a lot of improving.

"OKAY EVERYONE LISTEN UP", ego started. "I need you all to remember exactly what to do when you get out there. One screw up and you're out, you hear me?*.

Some of the player's gulped in nervousness at his words, one of them being isagi. Bachira had his signature smile, which you couldn't identify if it was out of fear or not. Rin had his very delightful stoic face which definitely didn't ever give you the creeps.

The players wore their jerseys and stepped into the corridor that would lead them into the field of a decisive battle. Rin took the first spot in lime. Of course he did. He was an egoistic brat. You and anri stood at the very back, and watched with pride and anxiety. Once you observed a little more, you noticed that rin probably took the first spot to stand next to sae and scowl at him because sae had taken the first spot in the u-20 line. So it wasn't rin being the egoistic brat here, it was sae. Being the first in line was a move a seven year old would make. Come to think of it, you could swear that you caught sae itoshi watching chibi maruko chan on that flight to Japan.
