Here's the truth about me. I have been an Indian since birth. Born here. And I still live here. Never in my life have I ever felt scared of living in a place I call home. I may not live in a city that is prone to threats, but that doesn't eliminate the fact that many schools in my city have been getting bomb threats over the past year. Whether these two situations are connected or not, it's scary after you connect the dots. If you've read my previous chapters, I did tell you all the story of a bomb threat that had happened that day.

Now for those of you who don't have context, let me explain.

The pahalgam incident, 22nd April, 2025. Led by a Pakistani terrorists group. Pahalgam is a place in Kashmir, India. This group murdered 26 innocent tourists after confirming that they weren't muslims. The tourists were dragged out of their tents, and slaughtered. Brutally. They were stripped of their clothes, and forced to recite prayers from Islam. When they couldn't, they were killed. This is the truth, as much as the Pakistani government loves to deny it.

On the early morning of May 7th, 2025, India launched an attack on Pakistan. This attack only targeted terrorist infrastructures. It was an attack that was well restrained. It wasn't meant to hurt anyone. It was an attack in retaliation to the brutal slaughter of 26 of our innocent civillians. India showed proof that they only attacked 9 terrorist sites.

There is so much misinformation on the internet that the Pakistan army shot down Indian rafales and a drone. (They didn't).

Their defense minister said they shot down 50 when in reality we only have 36, none of which we used. When the defense minister was asked what his source was for whether or not they actually shot down our jets, he said social media was his source. Social fucking media. The biggest platform for all misinformation. Heck I don't care if you guys think I'm lying. This is for awareness. It's not related to this story you guys are reading whatsoever. I will explain why I'm writing this towards the end of my essay.

Two siblings, a 12 yr old and a 14 yr old were murdered in Poonch, a place in Kashmir. Two children. Which means two parents mourning this loss for the rest of their lives. It causes trauma, just to lose one important figure in your life. Especially when you feel like it's your fault. Trust me, I would know what that kind of guilt feels like.

India does not go to war unprovoked. They attacked us first for no reason. India tried talking to them. They didn't even counterattack, we simply shut off water supply to them because they refused to negotiate.

The Pakistanis tried attacking the sacred Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. All their attempts on attacking India was thankfully averted by the Indian Air force. My heart goes out to the innocent people who are dying.

They killed Sikhs. They want to eradicate Hindus and Indians in general.

This is not a victim mindset, it is the truth.

I pray for the innocent Pakistani and Indian civillians to stay safe. I pray for all the innocent people to not get affected by this war.

I am writing all of this simply to spread awareness. Quite a lot of people read this book. India was about to launch a nationwide mock drill where civillians won't have any electricity so that the cities could be dark and wouldn't get bombed.

This was written also to state that people who stand with Pakistan, please dni. I pray for the safety of the innocent in Pakistan and India. However I will absolutely not stand for terrorism. That is the reason I hold a high hatred towards the Pakistani government.
