The rest of the day passes painfully slow with Felix ignoring Hyunjin making his heart ache more than ever

Felix's gaze flicker to the invisible door behind Hyunjin's desk, the room which open for a messy blood scene

Hyunjin looks up to find Felix's gaze fixated near him, Hyunjin blushes thinking Felix is finally looking at him.

"Felix?"

Hyunjin calls softly as the eyes flicker over to his making his breath hitch at the intensity of his gaze

"Hm?"

"C-Can we go for a dinner date?"

Hyunjin asked nervously fidgeting with his fingers, the brown orbs scan his presence, notices how the omega's cheeks are tinted pink, the hair strands sitting beautifully on his face as the mole under his eye brightens under the sunset rays

"I'm busy"

Felix's gaze focuses back on his laptop while he reads the case files of other victims.

Hyunjin bites on his lip holding back the tears yet again, the cold demeanour of Felix doesn't seem to falter nor have mercy on him as he uninterrupted breaks Hyunjin's facade and composure bit by but

"I..... I will order here, if it's ok-"

"I'm going out for dinner though"

"With wh-who?"

"I have to talk about a deal and it's necessary information with a client. I won't be joining you for dinner"

Felix finished as he started packing his stuff while Hyunjin's eyes desperately try to stop Felix but Felix never looks at him shattering him fragile will.

"Bye?"

"Hm...bye"

The door shuts and Hyunjin stares at the monitor in front, his tears falling on the keyboard with his breathing coming staggered.

*Sob*

Hyunjin pulls at his hair as he starts crying hysterically all over again sitting in the dark room with no food and water from morning as he wanted to have meal with only Felix.

If not for Felix then he would rather way to starve

Which he was pretty much doing.

*Sobs intensifies*

Hyunjin's teary eyes look at Felix who had sprinted back into the room, it looks like he put a lot more effort in coming back than going.

The dark room had hidden Hyunjin's cries, the tear full face.

Hyunjin watched the way Felix went to take his mobile

May be he forgot

Hyunjin sees the way Felix starts moving out and just before closing the door

"Did you eat food? Want me to order for you before I go?"

Hyunjin hears Felix ask, Hyunjin holds himself from a choked sob as he shakes his head

"Hyunjin I'm asking you?"

Hyunjin can hear Felix walking closer to him as he takes the tissues and wipe his tears but his whole form is still trembling
