"You're pouting

"You're pouting."

"I see red."

"I didn't pick this stuff out! Rogue and Storm went crazy and dragged poor Jubilee with them!" I exclaimed and continued to fold the onesies. "But they sure do look cute, don't they?"

"The crib wobbles." Scott said and I raised an eyebrow. "It does!"

"Scott, my dad built this crib, the rocking chair, changing table, the building blocks over there and three bassinets. It doesn't wobble."

"Three bassinets!?"

"Mansion, our room and downstairs. It's easier than carrying one bassinet from one place to the other... Plus, we can have the bassinets in the classroom no problem!"

"Is he the one nesting or is that supposed to be you?"

"He's just excited, sweetheart. We all are." I smiled and winced when Alex kicked. "Okay, you need to stop that before I pee myself again. I know it's cramped, but I need those organs to live, y'know?"

"Just a while longer, Lyla." Scott grinned and I nodded.

"I'm gonna miss being pregnant, y'know? But I think I miss seeing my feet way more."

"You'll get them back soon enough," He said with a chuckle, crouching down to press a hand gently against my belly. "Although I might miss this. You're glowing."

"I'm glowing because I'm sweating like crazy and running out of patience. Do you have any idea what it's like to carry a tiny, relentless Omega level mutant who thinks my bladder is a trampoline?"

"No, but I've had to endure you eating pickles with whipped cream at midnight, so I'd say we're even."

"Pickles and whipped cream hit the spot, okay? You try being a walking incubator for a superpowered ninja and see how normal your cravings are!" I defended and stood up with his help. "You sure your head's okay? I've been worried since it happened."

"Other than the constant migraines from the pressure, I'm perfectly okay. Hank triple-checked everything and so did Jean... Just a normal hematoma."

"A hematoma, Scott Summers!? Do you have any clue how serious that is!?" I yelled and swatted his hands away. "Oh, I could just-"

"Waddle after me?" He smirked and I rolled my eyes. "Baby, I've been through worse. You know it!"

"Scott, your last serious brain injury is what caused you to see the color red for the rest of your life! A hematoma is not like a stubbed toe!"

"You're yelling. Alex can hear you, y'know?"

"Good! He should know how stubborn his father is so he can learn to not be like you!"

"He has two stubborn parents, y'know? One that is luckily too pregnant to walk properly because I know she'd be in the Blackbird if she wasn't."

"Why do I put up with you?" I chuckled, leaving the nursery and headed to our bedroom. "I thought I told you years ago that I was nothing but trouble and that you should stay away?"
