"Lyla!? Where the hell is-"

"Dad? Why are you-"

"Kayla... Kayla's alive!" Dad practically yelled in my face and my eyes widened. "Chuck found her and... She's alive and in Alkali Lake!"

"Alkali Lake?" I asked as we both sprinted to Cerebro. "Aren't the X-Men nearby on a mission!?"

"A mission turned south, I'm afraid." Charles said, removing his helmet so we could hear.

"Professor, they've captured and collared us!" Jean exclaimed through the comms.

"Jean, I have Logan and Lyla here with me."

"Keep them as far away from this as possible! We'll find a way to handle it!"

"Like hell she is!" I yelled as Charles moved to the side. "Red, we're on our way, okay? Where's Scott?"

"They took him deeper into the facility. They took his visor too... All I heard was a scream and then nothing." She said and my breath hitched. "They started picking us off one by one... We can't do anything with these inhibitor collars on!"

"We're on our way, Red. Just hang tight." I assured.

"No! You stay where you are and we'll find a way to handle it!" Rogue called out. "Cyclops sees you here and he'll go crazy!"

"Maybe that's just what we need." Dad scoffed.

"This ain't the time for games, sugar! She's two months pregnant!"

"Yeah, and my entire family and husband are locked up in hell!" I exclaimed. "I'm going and that's final. I know that place like the back of my hand."

"Claws, you can't risk this. We won't let you risk this." Jean tried to reason.

"Then it's a good thing I'm not good at following orders!" I spat and cut the transmission. "Charles, please tell you know exactly where they are?"

"I'm working on it... You two head out and I'll communicate with you telepathically." He said and we both nodded.

Dad and I ran to the hangar and grabbed our suits.

"You sure about this, kid?" Dad asked and I immediately nodded. "If you wanna stay back and-"

"Dad, my husband, friends and the only maternal figure I've ever had in my life are locked in that hellhole... I don't necessarily have a choice." I decided, grabbing another visor and strapped it to my belt. "It'll be fine... nothing I haven't done before."

"You're stubborn as hell."

"Learned from the best."

"Lyla, this isn't about you anymore... You're carrying something worth protecting."
