As morning arrives Jimin wakes up with slight headache. He needed a distraction. So, he called up Hobi, Taehyung, and Suga, asking them to make plans. The idea of spending time with his friends, without the constant reminder of Jungkook's absence, seemed like the only way to avoid spiraling.

"Let’s go out this weekend," Jimin said over the phone. "Maybe a road trip or a day out. I want to do something fun, something different."

Suga, always the voice of reason, agreed. "Sounds good. We can just relax, no pressure. Let’s get away from the usual routine."

"Yeah, I’m in!" Taehyung replied, clearly excited.

It felt good to plan something with his friends, to feel like he could have a life outside of his relationship with Jungkook, even though it felt like a small rebellion against the space Jungkook had asked for.

The more they talked about it, the more Jimin started looking forward to it. He could feel the weight lifting, just knowing that he wasn’t alone in this.

But as the plans began to take shape, the unease in his heart didn’t fade. Deep down, he felt like something was missing. It wasn’t the trip itself it was the absence of Jungkook.

As the days passed, Jimin threw himself into his plans with his friends, trying to ignore the tension that still lingered between him and Jungkook. He went out for walks with Hobi, shared jokes with Taehyung, and spent long hours talking to Suga. His friends could tell that something was off, but they didn’t press him. They just let him be, supporting him in their quiet ways.

Meanwhile, Jungkook noticed the shift. He could see Jimin pulling away, ignores him, and spending more time with his friends. At first, he told himself it was just Jimin trying to cope, but the more it went on, the more Jungkook felt frustrated and confused. It was as if Jimin was intentionally pushing him out of his life, and that hurt more than he expected.

"Hey, are you free later?" Jungkook asked one day, walking towards their room.

Jimin didn’t even look up. He was scrolling through his phone, distracted by something.

"I’m going out with Hobi and Taehyung. Maybe later," Jimin replied nonchalantly, trying to keep his voice steady, though his heart clenched at the thought of spending even more time without Jungkook.

Jungkook frowned, sensing the distance between them. "You really don’t have time for me anymore, huh?"

Jimin sighed, standing up and grabbing his jacket. "You said I should spend time with my friends, right? I’m just doing what you asked."

The words stung, but Jungkook didn't argue. Instead, he nodded and stepped back, feeling like he had just lost any opportunity to make things right.

As the weekend approached and the trip with his friends loomed closer, Jimin felt a strange mix of excitement and anxiety. He knew he was doing this to fill the emptiness left by Jungkook, but he also hoped that maybe just maybe it would give him the space to figure out what he truly wanted.

The day of the trip arrived, and Jimin was ready. But as he walked past Jungkook in the dorm, he didn’t even spare him a glance. It wasn’t intentional he just didn’t know how to face Jungkook anymore, not with all the things left unsaid between them.

Jungkook stood in the doorway, watching as Jimin left without a word, a feeling of helplessness growing in his chest. He didn’t know what to do to fix things anymore. The more he tried to give Jimin space, the further Jimin seemed to drift away. And now, watching him walk out the door, Jungkook couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe it was all slipping away everything they had built.

While Jimin was away with his friends, he found some solace in their company. The trip was fun, and he was genuinely enjoying himself. But every so often, the thought of Jungkook would creep into his mind.

He realized that he missed Jungkook. But at the same time, he couldn’t shake the bitterness that had started to take root. Why was it always him who had to change? Why couldn’t Jungkook see that he was hurting?

The feeling of being replaced, of Jungkook being too busy for him, gnawed at him. He could feel it every time he laughed with his friends, every time he felt happy. It was supposed to be Jungkook. He was supposed to be the one Jimin leaned on, the one who made him feel whole. But now, it felt like Jungkook had moved on from him.

Back in the dorm, Jungkook was feeling the exact same way. He missed Jimin’s presence. He missed the old dynamic between them, the way they would share everything without saying a word. But now, it felt like he was a stranger in his own relationship.

As the days passed, the tension only grew. Neither of them knew how to bridge the gap that had formed between them, but it was only a matter of time before the truth would come out the truth that they both needed each other, but neither of them knew how to fix what was broken.

The days without Jimin were heavier than Jungkook had expected. He would catch himself picking up his phone, his thumb hovering over Jimin’s contact, hesitating before finally dialing. Each time, the call would ring for a while before either going to voicemail or being answered briefly with a curt, "I’m busy, Jk."

It wasn’t like Jimin to ignore him. Even when they had fought before, Jimin would always find a way to keep the line of communication open. But now, it was different. Jimin was colder, distant detached in a way that made Jungkooks chest ache.

Jungkook sat on the edge of his bed one evening, staring at the missed calls on his screen. He didn’t realize he was crying until the first tear fell onto the phone in his hand. He had pushed Jimin away. He had told him to find time for himself, and now that Jimin was finally doing that, Jungkook felt like a part of him was missing.

Jungkook thought of calling Somi. She had always been someone he could talk to when things got hard, but when he finally gathered the courage to reach out, she didn’t answer. He called again and again, but her phone went straight to voicemail.

The next day, Jungkook decided to visit her. But when he arrived at her place, she told him.

"Kookie" Somi said, her voice flat. "I think you should figure things out with Jimin."

He nodded.

As he walked back to the dorm, the weight of everything hit him all at once. He had tried to push Jimin away for his own good, to give him space, to help him grow. But in doing so, he had alienated the one person who mattered most to him. And now, even Somi someone he thought would always be there for him had turned her back on him.

Jungkook’s steps faltered as he reached the dorm. He leaned against the wall in the hallway, his shoulders shaking as he let the tears fall freely. He had lost Jimin, and he didn’t know how to get him back.
