A sharp scoff left Jeongguk's lips as he placed his pen down, his eyes flicking toward the group of girls practically trembling in excitement.
They were barely holding back tears of joy—over what? The fact that Jeon Jeongguk was in the same class as them for exams.
"As if you've never seen a man before," he muttered under his breath, voice laced with irritation. His fingers rubbed at his temple, willing himself to keep his temper in check.
If he lost control now, he'd end up doing something that would earn his hyung's wrath. The last thing he needed was Taehyung scolding him like a child again.
The girls, sensing his displeasure, blushed furiously and averted their gazes, though their eyes continued to dart toward him in stolen glances.
Not that he could blame them—he had, after all, grown into one of the most striking young men in the pack. His sharp jawline, sculpted features, and piercing gaze were enough to leave anyone breathless.
Yet, despite all the attention, there was only one person who had ever managed to pull a genuine bunny smile from him.
And that person was Taehyung.
Jeongguk clenched his jaw. He was here in this class for one reason—to study hard enough to secure his departure to the U.S. for his education.
Not that he wanted to go. The mere thought of being separated from Taehyung for two whole years unsettled something deep within him. But he had no choice.
His hyung had made it clear—he had to go, and if he dared to disobey, he'd be exiled from the pack entirely.
That was something Jeongguk could never risk.
He sighed, shaking his head slightly before redirecting his focus to the notes in front of him.
"Hey, babe."
He ignored her.
Siyeon, the most insufferable girl he had ever met, was once again seeking his attention.
"I'm so sorry," she began, her voice dripping with fake remorse. "I know it must have hurt you, seeing your girlfriend kissing—"
"Shut up, Siyeon," Jeongguk interjected coldly, lifting his gaze to her. His sharp eyes bore into her, brimming with unspoken warning.
She gulped, but being the self-proclaimed queen bee of the school, she quickly regained her composure. Batting her eyelashes, she pressed on.
"Please, Gguk—"
"Hell no," he snapped. "Stop calling me that."
She huffed, crossing her arms. "Gosh, Jeongguk, I'm your girlfriend, for god's sake. We never kiss, we never fuck—you don't even let me call you 'Ggukie' while that Luna can—"
"You and Luna are not the same," he cut in, voice dropping an octave lower, thick with finality. "Now get out before I lose my patience. Try again some other time."
She scoffed but stormed off nonetheless, flipping her hair in frustration.
Jeongguk exhaled, leaning back in his chair. His wolf, Justin, chuckled in his mind.
"Forgive me, Dad, for using an omega to suppress my feelings for someone who raised me."
"I forgive you, kid."
Jeongguk rolled his eyes. "For god's sake, just let me think in peace."
Cutting the mind link, he forced himself to focus as the professor re-entered the room.
