Nine months later
"Omg! Really?!" Jimin chirped, practically bouncing on the couch. His eyes sparkled with excitement as Wonwoo nodded, a shy smile tugging at his lips. He couldn't stop glancing down at the simple yet beautiful ring glinting on his finger.
Three days ago, Mingyu had proposed. Tonight, Wonwoo — usually so reserved — had gathered his closest friends to share the news.
For someone like Wonwoo, making friends had never been easy. But Jimin was... Jimin. Bright, persistent, and impossible not to love.
"I'm so happy for you!" Taeyong said, leaning forward with a wide grin.
"Thank you," Wonwoo murmured, cheeks dusting pink.
Across from them, Taehyung lounged on a separate couch, a drink cradled in his hands, a soft, almost fond smile on his face as he watched his friends celebrate.
"It's beautiful! Mingyu really has good taste," Jimin gushed, grabbing Wonwoo's hand to admire the ring up close. "I wonder when that jerk Yoongi will finally ask me to be his fiancé!" he huffed, pouting. "He hasn't even asked me to be his boyfriend yet, let alone propose!"
The living room filled with laughter.
They were all gathered in Wonwoo and Mingyu's cozy home — a place that already felt like a second home to many of them. Even the Luna of their pack had made it tonight, freed for once from his usual parental duties. Jeongguk had practically ordered him to take the night off, not wanting the Luna to overwork while raising their twin miracles.
"Congratulations," Taehyung said, lifting his glass slightly in a soft toast. His voice — gentle as always — carried genuine warmth.
"Thank you, Tae. By the way, where's Yoona?" Wonwoo asked, eyes lighting up at the thought of the twins.
Taehyung let out a small sigh, the corners of his mouth lifting fondly. "She's with Appa. She's their little princess."
Yoona and Hanuel — six months old and already the center of everyone's universe. Yoona, the fierce little alpha girl; Hanuel, the tender omega boy. Two tiny halves of a perfect whole.
"Yeah! She's my little princess too," Jaehyun chimed in, dropping onto the couch beside Mingyu with a grin, after pecked Taeyong's Head.
The Luna chuckled under his breath, heart feeling lighter just being surrounded by them. Over time, they'd all become family — not just friends. Jimin, of course, held an irreplaceable place in his heart, having stayed through the darkest storms. Wonwoo and Taeyong had come later, after the chaos had settled, but their bond was just as real now.
"Where's Jeongguk?" Taehyung asked, tilting his head toward Jaehyun and Mingyu, who were already slipping into their usual playful bickering.
The two alphas paused their squabble long enough for Jaehyun to say, "He had some files to finish—"
"Here I am, darling," a deep voice interrupted.
Taehyung barely had time to react before Jeongguk dropped down beside him, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek, sending a warm flush creeping up Taehyung's neck.
"You said you had unfinished files—" Jaehyun began, only to be cut off again.
Jeongguk shrugged without an ounce of guilt. "I left them at the office. Couldn't miss this."
Without hesitation, Jeongguk leaned in, capturing Taehyung's lips in a soft, lingering kiss that made Taehyung's heart skip.
"Fuck, I missed you so much," Jeongguk whispered against his lips.
