Chapter Thirty

The moon's silvery glow seeped through the curtains, casting an ethereal light on the darkened room.

The omega lay on his back, his blush hidden in the shadows, but his rapid breathing betrayed his emotions. A deep, husky voice pierced the silence.

"How many times do I've to explain myself?" The Alpha's voice rumbled, laced with frustration. His face hovered inches above the omega's, warm breath ghosting across his skin.

The omega's heart skipped a beat as the Alpha's dominant presence enveloped him, making his blush deepen even in the darkness.

Taehyung's smile faltered for a moment before amusement flickered in his eyes. Shaking his head, he teased, "You'll have to explain yourself thoroughly. After all, you're about to get a Luna." His voice dripped with affection.

Jeongguk's deep chuckle sent shivers down the omega's spine, leaving him breathless. "Of course, I'll do that," he murmured, his voice husky with promise.

Taehyung's smile broadened as he wrapped his arms around Jeongguk's neck, pulling him closer. Their lips hovered inches apart, the air thick with anticipation. "Just kiss me," he whispered, barely audible.

A low, rumbling groan escaped Jeongguk, his dark eyes burning with desire. "Fuck it, why do you have to be so beautiful?" he muttered before crashing his lips against Taehyung's in a passionate, all-consuming kiss.

The omega beneath him let out a soft, mewling sound, his body melting into Jeongguk's embrace. Their lips moved in perfect harmony, desperate to taste each other.

The world around them faded into insignificance as they lost themselves in the moment.

Jeongguk's hand slipped beneath the omega's shirt, fingertips tracing the contours of his mate's skin. His hips pressed against Taehyung's, a groan of satisfaction slipping from his lips.

Time stood still as they drowned in the heat of their connection.

Taehyung let out a soft, surrendering moan before tapping Jeongguk's back in a gentle plea for respite.

Jeongguk pulled away, his dark eyes crinkling with amusement at the omega's flushed face and swollen, pink lips curled into a pout.

"At least let me breathe," Taehyung scoffed, his chest rising and falling as he caught his breath.

Jeongguk grinned, eyes warm with affection. "Sorry, my omega," he whispered before pressing a tender kiss to Taehyung's forehead.

Taehyung's face softened, his gaze melting into something fond, something deeper. He stared at Jeongguk, his heart overflowing with emotion.

Jeongguk smiled back, mirroring the love shining in Taehyung's eyes.

He pecked Taehyung's cheek, his whisper sending shivers down the omega's spine.

"I love you."

Jeongguk pulled back, waiting.

Waiting for his answer.

But then—

"Ring~ Ring~ Ring~"

A deep groan rumbled in Jeongguk's chest as he blindly reached for his phone on the nightstand. He lay sprawled on his stomach, half-naked, muscles tense beneath the morning light filtering through the curtains.

His body felt heavy, his mind clouded with sleep—until the loud, grating voice on the other end shattered his peace.

"Why the fuck aren't you answering your goddamn phone?! We have a shitload of things to do today, you asshole! It's already eleven!"
