Four months had passed since the night their world had nearly crumbled. The scent of ash and blood had long faded, replaced by the crisp, fresh air of renewal. Though scars remained—on the land, on their bodies, in their hearts—the pack had rebuilt, stronger than before.

The infirmary had been restored, the once-burned walls now standing firm, filled with life and warmth again. The training grounds, once littered with remnants of battle, now echoed with warriors sparring, refining their strength under Jeongguk's watchful eye. Patrols were tighter, defenses stronger, and the bond between packmates had never been deeper. They had suffered, but they had survived.

Taehyung had healed slowly but steadily, though the exhaustion in his bones never quite left him. He had pushed through it, ignoring the quiet concern in Jeongguk's gaze. His belly had grown, still subtle under his robes, but the life inside him was undeniable now.

Jeongguk had settled into his role as leader seamlessly, though the weight of responsibility never left his shoulders. The pack had fully accepted him as Alpha, and with Taehyung by his side, they had begun a new era.

And now, with winter fading and spring on the horizon, the pack prepared for a long-awaited celebration—one that would mark the official recognition of their new leadership.

Taehyung stood before the tall mirror, adjusting the intricate white embroidery on his robe. The soft fabric draped over his body, flowing elegantly around the small but noticeable swell of his stomach. His fingers absentmindedly traced over it, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Behind him, Jeongguk leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching him with dark, amused eyes. He was already dressed in his formal attire—a sleek black and gold robe that accentuated his broad shoulders and strong build. His hair was neatly styled, though a few rebellious strands fell over his forehead.

"You're staring," Taehyung murmured, locking eyes with him in the mirror.

Jeongguk smirked, pushing off the wall and stepping closer. "Can you blame me?" His voice was lower now, more intimate. He stopped just behind Taehyung, resting his hands on his mate's waist. "Look at you... glowing, round with my pup, dressed so prettily." His fingers traced over Taehyung's belly, his warm breath fanning over the omega's ear. "I think I should keep you locked away so no one else gets to see you like this."

Taehyung huffed a laugh. "As if I'd let you." He turned around in Jeongguk's arms, resting a hand on his mate's chest. "You do know we have a whole ceremony to attend, right? You're being crowned as the Alpha officially tonight. Maybe try focusing on im that instead of dirty thoughts."

Jeongguk chuckled, tilting his head. "You say that as if I can control it. You look so damn good, darling." He pressed a slow kiss to Taehyung's neck, lips lingering as his hands roamed down to rest on Taehyung's hips. "So soft, so tempting. And I know for a fact you love when I talk like this."

Taehyung swallowed, heat pooling in his stomach. "We don't have time—"

"Don't we?" Jeongguk's teeth grazed the sensitive spot below Taehyung's ear, making him shudder. "The ceremony doesn't start for another hour. That's plenty of time to remind you who you belong to."

Taehyung smirked, fingers curling into Jeongguk's robe. "Cocky Alpha," he teased, though his breath hitched when Jeongguk's grip tightened on his hips.

Jeongguk hummed in agreement. "Only for you." He pressed Taehyung back against the vanity, his knee sliding between the omega's legs. "You've been avoiding me lately... Always sneaking away before bed." His fingers trailed lower, teasing the curve of Taehyung's ass. "Should I take my mate right here? Make you go downstairs with my scent all over you?"
