Sorry I had this song because this is the song that was playing when I met my best friend after not seeing her for a long time. Do you guys remember the song that was playing when you met your bff? If not what song would you have liked to have listened too!
-----------------------------------
As I started trailing behind Shopa I got a better view of her, when people walked past her she would often greet them with a wave or a simple 'hey'. I was slightly bothered by that.
"Why do you have to greet everyone " I asked hiding my slightly annoyed tone " You'll probably see them in class or yet again at lunch".
She turned her body to face me, gave me a once over and started walking again.
That was so rude of her I thought " I'm kinda talking to you Shopa" "I believe I heard your question the first time" She smiled at a student "It's a friendly gesture, if you don't like it tough, I'm not going to stop"
I then noticed how stubborn we were both being. I huffed loudly for her to hear but she continued walking down the never ending hall.
She pointed at to big brown doors which I recognised to be the reception from the brochure I was given.
"Ring the bell on the slide and ask for patsy" she said smiling and beginning to walk away.
"Wait, Shopa can you please follow me" I asked lacking a bit of self confidence. "Look Sophia I'd love to help you but I'm already late for class and I can't afford to get another conduct" she looked at me pleading for me to let her go.
I looked at her and smiled and she began walking down the hall.
I started entering the reception and at that moment I saw someone who I thought I wouldn't see again.
Shawn..
I didn't know if I should continue walking or just keep staring at him like the pedophile I already am. I started walking up the steps and rang the bell Shopa told me to ring.
A woman appeared at the windows, she had blonde hair and she looked like she was in her late twenties, she looked really friendly and I just wanted to feel her hair.
"Um... hi is Patsy here" I asked trying to maintain eye contact with her deep blue ones. "Why yes she is, your looking at her, how may I help you " she smiled at me as if I were a baby in a pram with my mother.
I mentally rolled my eyes at that thought, like literally was I dropped as a baby, wait.. am I adopted. So many questions and theories started squeezing into my brain.
"I'm new here my names Sophia" "Oh yes, here is your timetable and locker number" she said handing me my stuff.
I looked at her and wondered 'how the fudge am I supposed to know where my locker is, yet again my class'. She paused for a minute clearly realising her mistake and looked behind her.
"Shawn could you please show Sophia around the school and answer any questions she has" I looked back to see Shawn standing a few feet behind me,,frowning.
He looked from me to patsy and back at me again "Um sure" he started walking down the steps so I trailed behind him.
We walked in silence for a bit before I realised he put is hand in front of me, palm facing upwards. I didn't know what to do so I thought he was putting his hand out for a high five so I slapped my palm against his.
He looked at me and then he started laughing. "What's so funny" I asked moving away from him." Can I have your timetable and locker number please" he said after calming down.
