VICTORIA JOHNSON P.O.V.

The next morning Tori was led out onto the edge of the Hogwarts ground by Headmistress Mcagonagall. Her parents were standing at the edge of the grounds, looking around cautiously. When they saw her coming, their eyes widened.
"Victoria, get out of there this instant!" Her mom said, waving her over.
"Mom, it's fine."
"But there are signs all over saying there are bear traps and land mines everywhere-"
"Those are just to keep the muggles like yourselves away from here. We don't need any curious eyes watching us while we perform magic. We'd get in some awfully big trouble. Can you imagine?" Professor McGonagall let out a laugh. "Anywho, I can remove the spell from your eyes if you want-"
"I'm not comfortable with you performing magic on me and my wife."
"So you do believe her, dad?" Tori asked her dad.
"Well, it's not at I believe her, exactly..."
"I will not be performing any sort of enchantment on you," Professor McGonagall said, taking out her wand. "I'll just simply allow you to see through the spell."
Tori's parents looked at each other.
"Well it's not like there actually is such thing as magic..." her mom said.
Professor McGonagall flicked her wand, and all of a sudden Tori's parents eyes grew twice their normal size.
"Wow." They both said, looking up towards the castle, and then over to the Quidditch field, where they could just barely see the top of the goal posts, and then finally over to the lake where one of the giant squids many arms shot out above the water.
"This can't be true.." her mom said, rubbing her eyes.
"Mom, just because there aren't stone hard facts about magic being real, doesn't mean it shouldn't be believed." Tori said, shifting to her other foot. "I want to stay. If I really am a witch, don't you think it would be better for me to learn to control it?"
Her mom sighed and looked at her dad. There was a lot of head shaking and eye rolling, but finally her mom agreed to let her stay. "You can stay for one month. If you still want to stay after that, then we'll talk."
"Oooh thank you mom!" Tori exclaimed, jumping up and down.
"I will take her this evening to look for a wand and we have extras of everything else she needs untill it's been decided if she is to stay here full time." Professor McGonagall turned to Tori. "It will not be easy, starting to learn magic in you fifth year. There will lots of work and it will be hard."
"Don't worry professor, I'll work really hard."
"Good. We might need to get some students to tutor you in some subjects, like History, seeing as there is lots of information to remember."
"Sounds fine with us." Tori's dad said. "Just make sure to write and text us."
Tori picked up the bags that her dad had brought her and smiled.
"I'll text you every day."
