Teddy's P.O.V.
Now that I was speaking with Tori again, the schools days weren't taking so long to go by. Word had also gotten out that I was once again single, so girls were eagerly coming up to me for a chance to date Hogwarts' resident rebel. They just had no idea that I wasn't as rebellious as they thought. I stood up for what I thought was right, but I wouldn't consider myself rebellious.
Anyhow, I wasn't in a rush to start dating again, much to the disappointment of several girls. I was enjoying being single. Plus, the Hogsmeade trip was rapidly approaching, and I wanted to hit up Zonko's and a few other of my favorite places. I needed to pick up some Christmas gifts before I left Hogwarts, but had decided to bring up the suggestion for Secret Santa with everyone. We were outside sitting around in the snow, and I thought it was genius.
"Secret Santa?" Asked Cass.
"Yeah," I said. "We each write our name out on a piece of paper and write three things we would like... within the price range we agree on of course. Then, everyone draws a name one by one, until everyone has a name other than their own. That way we all only have to worry about buying one gift, and everyone is bound to get something they like if things work out correctly."
"I like the idea," Tori said, momentarily looking up from the small snowman she was working on. "Especially since I don't know you all as well as you know each other. It'll be easier for me to get one of you a present."
The others nodded in agreement.
"Great, it's settled. Any one have any parchment on hand?" I produced a carrot for the little snowman Tori was working on. She smiled and put it in the middle of the tiny snowman's head. Looking very pleased with herself, she dug around under the snow and pulled out two sticks for hands.
Fizzy pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill. Everyone wrote out their names, but our group of friends had gotten slightly smaller. We were still friends with the others, but this Secret Santa wasn't going to be too big. Stick with those closest to us.
Tori took a break from her snowman to scrawl her name and three things she wanted down on a ripped piece of parchment, and then handed it to me. We all put our names in Jake's bag since he always forgets to put his books in there, and we picked names.
I drew first and looked down at the name.
BLUE
1. Fizzing Whizabees
2. Gift card for The Three Broomsticks so I can buy Butterbeer
3. Makeup:)I felt very confident in who I had picked. Blue was very easy to shop for. She liked food, makeup, clothes... pretty standard stuff. I looked around at my friends. There was one or two - Ronald and Cass - who were glancing not so subtly at the people they had chosen. I could guess who almost everyone had.
Her poker face was great. She had looked at the name and put it back in her pocket, only to then continue inspecting her snowman.
After we decided when we would exchange gifts (the night before Christmas vacation which was only two days after Hogsmeade), we all went back into the school. Curfew was approaching and even though the majority of us knew how to sneak around the school and not get caught, it had been a tiring day.
"Come on, Tori. Sneak out later with us?" Logan pleaded, wrapping his arm around her.
"Sorry, Logan baby. This girl likes her sleep." Tori said.
"Well I guess you do need your beauty rest. Hate to break it to ya, but you've been looking a little drab lately."
Tori gasped and shoved Logan's arm off her. He laughed and tried to hug her. "Tori I was just kidding!"
"Too late, Logan. I've already moved on. In case you didn't already know, you're pretty easy to get over."
Tori giggled when Logan pretended to be hurt. She hugged him from the side and he hugged her back. "I accept your apology."
"So that means you'll give me a piggyback?"
"Oh no. I said I accepted your apology, not that I forgave you. Ask someone who cares."
Tori huffed and then turned around to face me. Walking closer, she fluttered her eyelashes. "Teddy? You'll give me a piggyback, right?"
"Who, me?" She nodded. I rolled my head back and sighed, before I looked back at her again. And laughed and winked at her, and her face lit up. "Oh, the things I do for you. Hop up, Red."
Tori clapped her hands and rushed behind me. Putting her hands on my shoulders she leapt up. I gave her a piggy back all the way to the main staircase. I would have walked her up, but we were stopped.
"Headmaster!" Squeaked Tori, quickly jumping off my back. "Um, how are you this evening?"
"Quite well. It appears we have found out about your curious ancestry."
"Oh?" Tori looked around at the rest of us, as if asking if we needed to leave.
"Your friends are allowed to remain if you wish them to." Tori nodded and Professor McGonagall continued talking. "Well, I was talking with several of the portraits, seeing if they could find out anything for us. As it appears, they did. They were very successful."
"And?"
"Well, this was most peculiar to hear, but you are not only related to Godric Gryffindor. You are related to all of the Four Founders."
