Tori's P.O.V

I adjusted my robes and looked at the door. I was fidgeting which I knew she would hate, but I couldn't help it. This was my one shot to save what little of a reputation I had had before. If this went sour, I might as well pack up and go to Beauxbatons...which wouldn't be too awful since I do speak french, but I still didn't want to leave the friends I made.

Finally, in came Wendy. She was alone as I had requested.

"Well?" She asked, crossing her arms. "I'm here. What do you want?"

"I want to call a truce. I feel bad over our little argument the other day and am willing to forgive and forget it. Besides, have you heard the rumors someone has been starting about me lately? Right now I could use as many friends as I can get, just as support by my side."

"You're kidding, right?" Wendy laughed.

"Nope. The rumors are awful... you have heard them, haven't you?"

"Aw, sweetie. You are just so gullible, aren't you? You really aren't meant for life as a witch. It was me, creating all the rumors. When I told you I would make your life miserable for talking to Teddy, I wasn't kidding."

"But- all I did was talk to him! We're just friends! Is that a crime? Are you going to break off all Teddy's friendships with girls because you feel threatened by them?"

"If I need to, yes."

I gaped at her. "But he was my tutor! The few times we did hang out with each other outside of that, it was just as friends! Nothing more!"

"You don't get it!" Wendy threw her hands in the air. "The two of you may claim to only be friends, and maybe that's all you want but that's not what Teddy wants... even if he won't admit it."

"What are you talking about?"

Wendy slumped down in a chair. "Ever since he became your tutor, ever since the two of you started talking he's been different. And - and it makes it harder because I think it's a good different. Whenever he's around you, he just seems happier or something... I can't explain it. But, when I told him you hit me and stuff... he wasn't angry - no, scratch that, he was very angry, but he felt more betrayed I think. And ever since then, when he hasn't been talking to you, he's sad... it's like he lost one of his best friends."

I sat down next to her. "Listen, I'm sorry. I truly, one hundred percent am. If Teddy does like me, I swear that was not my intentions. I just wanted to be his friend. Maybe he is happier around me simply because we are such good friends. Either way, it sounds like you guys have a few problems you need to sit down and talk about...problems that had started before I came here."

Wendy sighed and nodded. "I'm sorry. Now that I think about it... it seems so silly. I should not have done that, but I couldn't stop myself."

I nodded. "I need you to go to the Headmaster with me though. I'm on the verge of being kicked out of Hogwarts because of everything you've done, and the only way I'll be able to stay is if someone owns up."

Wendy paled and bit her lip. She looked on the verge of tears.

"I'm going to be in so much trouble," she whispered. "but I'll do it. Come on, we might as well get it over with now. I don't want Teddy to be miserable any longer, or for you to get kicked out."

I stood up and took out my phone from my pocket and turned off the recording button. "I'm sorry," I said. "But if you refused to go with me to the Headmaster, I needed something to show her. I am not willing to leave Hogwarts just yet."

Wendy nodded. "I understand."

The two of us went off in search of McGonagall.
