I stared at the sidewalk as I walked to my new school. Being the new kid was never, ever easy. I'd know. I've been the new one three times. Two of those times were in eighth grade while the other was in the beginning of freshman year.

I got to school and went to the office to get my schedule. First, pre calc.
The teacher told me to sit down in the second row, next to the window. I did so. The bell rang ten minutes later as everyone came in and sat down.

"Oh, hey! Are you new?"

I looked up at the cheerful voice to see a boy with brown hair and golden eyes sit next to me.

I gave a small nod.

He flashed me a bright smile, "Wow, nice to meet you. I'm Meito, Sophomore."

".....Mikuo, freshman." I introduced myself the same way he did, himself.

He blinked, "I think you're in the wrong class. Are you in pre calc?"

I nodded, again.

"Whoa, seriously? You must be super smart to be a freshman and in pre calc." He tilted his head, looking at me, curiously.

Class started, minutes later. After the first half of class, the teacher passed around a worksheet. He said that we had the remainder of class to finish it. I started on it, immediately.

Within fifteen minutes, I had finished.

"Wow, you're amazing." Meito shook his head.

Before either of us could say anything, the bell rang and the teach told us that if we didn't finish, it was homework.

Meito put the worksheet away, "No way. Damn, this is way too hard. How did you finish, so quickly?"

"It just......comes to me........if you want, I could help you with it." I offered.

He beamed, "That would be awesome! What class do you have over fifth period?"

"Photography."

"Great! I'll come to get you. We can work on it, during lunch. I'll see you then!" He waved, running down the hallway, pushing over a few people.

I have music appreciation, next.

I was going to reach for the door, but another hand beat me to it and heaved it open. I looked up to see a guy with dark pink hair and light blue eyes smile at me.

"S-Sorry, this door is seriously heavy. It's kind of a pain." He explained.

I blinked, "Um. Thank you."

"No problem." He followed me through and into the room, "So, uh. Are you new?"

I nodded as he said, "Ah, well. I'm sure you'll like this class. The teacher is laid back and we can sit wherever we want. You should come sit with me and my friends, they consist of the few nice people at this school."

"Sure."

He led me to the other side of the room where a few people were sitting and talking.

"Hey, Luki! Who's the newbie?" A girl with short blonde hair and green eyes asked, but smiled at me.

Luki emitted an embarrassed laugh, "Aha...... What's your name?"

"I'm Mikuo." I stated.

The girl waved at me, "I'm Rin, I'm awesome. Nice to meet you!"

A boy with yellower hair and black eyes grinned, "Never mind her, I'm Nero. I'm way more awesome than her. Great to meet you, Mikuo."

I slightly smiled at the pout on Rin's face.

Luki sat in a seat and beckoned me to sit next to him. I did, as class started.

The teacher was explaining about older musical artists and how they impact artists of today. It was pretty interesting.

"Oi."

I threw a sideways glance to the speaker to see that some guy sitting across the aisle was looking at me.

He looked to be fairly tall. He had crimson hair and matching narrow, eyes.

I could barely hear him as he said, "Your hair is really hot. Do you dye it?"

I started to feel a weird tingling feeling on my skin. His voice was slow and smooth, but it had a creepy sound to it.

I slowly shook my head, not looking back at him.

"Ooh, is it natural?"

I few seconds passed before he said, even quieter, "Maybe, you can show me, sometime."

The smirk on his voice made me inwardly cringe. This deceased individual needs help, lord, please.

"Akaito Shion! Since you seem so set on harassing my new student, why don't you go ahead and sit in the hallway until class ends?" The teacher, thankfully, took notice of this.

Akaito snickered, but went in the hallway.

"Hey, you ok?" Luki asked me a somewhat bored expression on his face.

I offered a reassuring smile, "Fine."

What's that look about.....?

After class ended, we went into the hallway.

"Great. What the hell do you want, Akaito?" Luki glared at the other boy that had waited in the hallway.

The look he was giving the redhead was more of a warning look, than anything else.

He gave an innocent shrug, "Oh, nothing from you. Actually, you can go right ahead and leave. I want to talk to this sweetie."

He was looking straight at me.

"Yeah, right. I doubt Mikuo wants to talk to you." Luki quickly led me away from Akaito.

He sighed, "I'm sorry, Mikuo. Akaito is one of the biggest douches of the school."

"That's not your fault." I pointed out.

He smiled, "So, what do you have, next?"

"I have gym."

"Ah, same! Come with me, I'll show you where it is."
