"M-Mikuo, what are you doing?"
I looked up and saw Xikuo standing in the hallway, looking into my room. I currently had clothes piled on the floor. I was trying to find a certain hoodie that I packed, at some point. It was teal and white, but I couldn't find it.
"Have you seen my teal and white hoodie?" I asked.
He looked around the room and came in. He reached at the bottom of the pile, yanking something out, "This one?"
I took it, "Yes, thank you."
"So, what are you doing?"
"I'm getting dressed."
"Why? Today's Saturday."
I pulled on my hoodie, deciding to leave it unzipped with my white t-shirt underneath, "I......I have a date."
"A date? With who?"
"The guy that was here the other day, Akaito." I answered.
He was quiet for a minute and asked, "Do you like him?"
".......maybe."
The doorbell rang as I shoved my phone in my pocket. I walked to the front door and opened it.
"Hey." He greeted me.
"Hi."
"Ready to go?"
I quietly closed the door behind me and gave a small nod. I followed him down the driveway and through the trees that covered the front of the house. When we made it to the street, he led me to the left.
"So, where will you be taking me, today?" I asked him.
He hummed, "Anywhere and everywhere. Small town, so we'll be able to see it all."
As the day progressed, we saw more and more of the town. Luckily, we didn't run into any douches on our travels. By the time we stopped to get coffee, I noticed that Akaito was sort of getting used to having me around. He spoke to me normally and even flashed me a smile every now and again.
We had stopped at the park when it started to get dark. We both had our coffee with us, not having it in us to sit in the cafe with a bunch of other people.
"Hey, can I ask you something?"
He nodded.
I asked, "What did you mean when you said 'what's with you?' You looked like you wanted to say more. Is there something weird about me?"
"N-No, you're not weird, not really. But......um. I already know how smart you are. But, when I asked you all of those questions, they just proved my point more and more." He told me.
"Proved what point??"
He was quiet for a long time before replying, "The point that you're.......pretty much perfect."
I almost laughed at that.
"What are you laughing at, you just don't see it." He mumbled.
"What makes you think I'm perfect?"I asked as I mentally sobered up.
He had no problem with listing off, "You're smart, really smart, you're an artist, you play music, can probably sing, speaks other languages, and for the love of God, you look like heaven sent you down here in a meteor."
"What? Those aren't the characteristics of a perfect person-"
"Oh, god, shut up. You clearly don't see it. Believe me, they are and you have them."
I slowly averted my eyes from him, feeling a blush overcome my cheeks. I brought my coffee up to my mouth, but didn't drink. I rested my lips on the lid's opening and quietly hummed.
"So. What are you doing, tomorrow?" He asked like he hadn't just told me he thought I was perfect.
I decided to set it aside for now, as I answered, "Probably just moving in the furniture. They're coming tomorrow, so me and Xikuo are going to fill the mansion with them."
"Do you want me to help?"
"Oh, no, I couldn't ask you to do something like that-!"
"Don't worry about it. That house is huge, there's no way you and your brother can arrange furniture in that house." He reasoned with me.
I sighed, "Yeah, you're right. But, would you really be ok with doing that? Don't you have things to do?"
"I have nowhere else to be and no one else to be with. Might as well be at your house with you." A quick grin crossed his features.
I gave a nervous smile, "Ok, then. Thanks, really."
"No problem. None. In fact, it would be my pleasure."
