"What exactly are you going to do, now?" Xikuo asked me.

I sighed, "I'll just go to school, like normal. He'll probably get tired of this, eventually. Maybe I should just fake my death and dye my hair."

"Let's think realistically here, please." He stopped me from continuing.

We were seated in the living room. I just got back from Akaito's date, about ten minutes ago.

He was quiet, before saying, "Why don't you break up with him?"

".......y.....yeah....."

This time, he let out a heavy sigh, "Look, I know you were starting to develop some feelings there, but I can't let him continue to attempt to hurt you. Plus, who knows what will happen if he finds out that you're dead?"

"Just.......let me talk to him."

"Talk to Gumo, first."

I nodded, "Alright, fine. I'll talk to him on Sunday, to prepare for Monday."

Xikuo didn't protest.

(Sunday.......)

"He tried to kill you?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

Gumo was sitting on the stairs of the porch, looking at me in disbelief. I hadn't told him about being dead, though.

"But, why?"

"I don't know. But, my parents must've known. Or else, why would they hire you?" I pointed out.

He slowly nodded, "That makes sense."

I waited as he seemed to think about it.

"Should I break it off with him? Xikuo thought that I should." I told him.

He replied, "No, that would just make him suspicious. Just keep doing what you've been. But, if he asks to meet up with you at all, make up an excuse. Try not to be alone with him. And don't make it too obvious."

"Um. Ok."

"How did you know that he was trying to poison you?" He suddenly asked me.

I shrugged, "I smelled the poison. At another house, we had a rat problem. Before he decided to move out, Xikuo put that stuff all over the house. I just recognized it."

"Ah. Good thing, too."

I nodded my agreement.

(Next day......)

The day went by rather oddly. Rin and Nero were still as enthusiastic as they've always been. But, Luki's been acting strangely. He told me not to pretend to be his boyfriend, which didn't even really need much of my attention, anyway.

And he started to completely ignore me.

Akaito's a different story. He kept up with talking to me, almost the same as we used to. But, now it seems forced. Like he's pushing himself to talk to me. He fakes smiles and forces himself to laugh.

And I haven't seen Meito in days. He hasn't been in math or at lunch, at all.

Now, I'm in history, sitting next to Akaito. Since our assignment was turned in already, we continued to do worksheets and listen to lectures while taking notes.

Class ended, and before Akaito could say anything to me, I left the classroom. I didn't want to deal with him anymore, for today. I feel like I'm being used. Though, I know I'm being lied to, so that he can kill me. Or, attempt.

I waited as everyone left. I started walking home along the almost empty streets.

"Mikuo."

I jumped at the mention of my name, afraid that even after running away, the redhead had followed me. I turned around to see that it was Gumo.
