Jungkook: “Yoongi Hyung, DO SOMETHING! PLEASE! Make everything okay, I swear!” Jungkook's voice cracked as he shouted at Yoongi, the weight of the moment crashing down on him. A single tear rolled down his cheek, his desperation echoing through the chaos of the chase. He hated feeling this vulnerable, but when crisis hit, no matter how strong he tried to be, he needed his brothers. He needed Yoongi. He needed someone to make everything okay.
Yoongi's jaw clenched, his own heart hammering in his chest as he heard the panic in Jungkook's voice. There was nothing more he wanted than to fix this. But the world was against them, and the cars chasing them were relentless.
Yoongi: “Hold on, Jungkook, we’re almost there!” Yoongi gritted out, his eyes scanning the road ahead. He was pushing the car to its absolute limit, trying to lose the tailing vehicles. His hands tightened on the wheel, his knuckles going white.
Jungkook could barely think. He was clutching Tae tighter, watching his brother struggle to stay awake, to stay present. His heart ached.
As Yoongi made another sharp turn, trying to confuse the pursuing cars, the chase seemed to be losing momentum. The cars trailing them slowed, hesitant at first, as Yoongi expertly navigated through the city’s winding roads. Slowly, the sound of tires screeching against pavement started to fade, and for a moment, the adrenaline in Jungkook’s body eased, his racing heart finally calming.
Jungkook: “Finally… we lost them...” Jungkook muttered, his voice soft with a sigh of relief. He looked down at Tae, his heart aching as he saw his brother's still-waking eyes flicker in and out of focus.
Yoongi: “Finally…” Yoongi whispered, his shoulders sagging slightly, the tension momentarily leaving his body. He could feel his heartbeat slow down as the city lights started to fade behind them.
But as soon as they thought they had a moment to breathe, fate had other plans.
From the other side of the road, a car came barreling toward them with incredible speed. Yoongi's eyes went wide with disbelief as the headlights filled the windshield, too close—too fast. The car hit them on the side with a deafening crash, metal scraping against metal with a sickening screech.
The force of the impact was violent, throwing the car off course. Yoongi fought to maintain control, but the car jerked violently, spinning out of control. It slammed against the railing, the screech of the tires filling the air as the vehicle rolled—over and over—towards the edge of a cliff.
Jungkook’s heart stopped as the world spun around him. The car rotated multiple times before landing down ...
He could feel his body slammed to the side as the car careened out of control, his head slamming against the window. Everything was a blur—a chaotic mess of lights and motion, the terrifying sound of the car crashing against the ground, and then… nothing.
Everything went still.
The car finally came to a halt, but it was hanging dangerously near the edge of the cliff, its frame bent and smoking. The airbags deployed with a loud pop, but the damage had already been done. The side that took the brunt of the impact—the side where Yoongi and Jungkook had been sitting—was crushed, the car's frame twisted and mangled.
