Euphoria. That's all that was running through Kathleen's head as she rushed through West Valleys General Hospital.
She had reached her house door after being with Sam for hours. They talked about their friendship, the fight, and they spent hours rebuilding their friendship. Kathleen was happy.
She was finally in a great place with her mother, and now with Sam.
Upon reaching her house door her mother roughly pulled the front door open. She had a wide smile on her face and was silent. Kathleen was standing there confused.
"Mom?" She let out a chuckle. "You okay?"
Kim nodded her head but remained quiet. Behind her Diego had rushed up and moved around his wife and pulled his daughter into a hug, surprising the girl.
"Um, can someone tell me what's going on?" She said with her arms pended to her side not being able to move due to her dad's hug.
"He's awake mija." Diego whispered into his daughter's ear. Letting her go, the girl just stood there. The news had processed but she had no emotions.
Looking at her mother the girl finally let her tears roll down her face and hurriedly hugged her mom. Miguel was finally awake. She could now visit him and see the boy that she love back to life without worrying.
So at the moment she was finally reached Miguel's door. She sighed in relief at him awake.
"Miguel." She mutters and Miguel softly smiles at her. "Oh, thank god." She rushed to him and hugged him. She pulled back and sighed of relief once again. She sat on his bed and ran her fingers through his hair. "You okay?"
He smiled softly at her. Noticing the girl's expression, he knew she probably didn't mean to say that, before she could say anything, Miguel replied. "I'm okay. Don't worry about it."
"Good. Now that you're awake." Kathleen gently hits his arm. "Don't scare me like that ever again."
"Yes ma'am. Sorry." He softly laughs. "I love you."
"I love you too." She says. "And I am never leaving you alone during a karate brawl again." She states making him smile.
"Deal." He mutters.
Kathleen leans down and gently kisses him on the forehead. Miguel wraps his arm around her and she rests her head on his shoulder, hugging him back as much as she can.
"Were you hurt?" Miguel finally spoke up about the fight. "I should have been fighting beside you, none of us would've been hurt." He looked down but Kathleen grabbed his face and made him look at her.
"You were helping Zack. Although he deserved what he got, you made sure to fight beside him." She tried to consult her boyfriend as best as she could. "Besides I had bruised ribs but they don't hurt as much, I can just ignore the small pain that's there." She chuckled.
